I liked almost everything about this hostel. The best I have ever stayed in. We were very well received, they are excellent hosts. The room was clean and was very pleasent. The common area is super friendly and you have the chance to get to know people from all over the world. The kitchen is always very clean which for me is very important. We stayed at the 8 bed mixed dormitory and I was surprised of how cool it was. You have internet acess 24h in the common area. The bathrooms are Ok(+) for c.
all reviews » Staff was very helpful and caring. Hotel is located between Taksim, Eminonu and Besiktas also close to the ferries to Asian continent. If you dont want to spend money, you can cook your own meal in kitchen and have tea, coffee. Beds are comfortable, sheets are clean. Whole building is warm even its snow and northeastern wind outside. I recommend that cosy hostel especially for travellers alone. Its really a budget hostel with high level of cleanness in the heart of Istanbul's old city. The hostel staff is friendly and very helpful. I advice the hostel for budget travelers, if you intent to have a high level of comfort, it may not suits you well.It has a nice brand new kitchen. There is free internet on each floor with no slow connection problem. Location is excelent, from there you can reach the tram station 5 min walking and Galata tower( where is the beggining of the street with bars and shops), in 5 min also. The kitchen is a good way to save money, and there is a minimarket 3 min from the hostel. The beds are good. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The staff was helpful and friendly. We stayed in the room with 3 beds and it was very clean and nicely remodeled, as were the bathrooms. It is in an excellent location to the ferry and tram on the European side. We were traveling on a very tight budget and this was perfect for us. This hostel has very friendly staff and is perfectly located between Sultanahmet - where you have all "must see" and Taksim area where you have all the fun and shopping. Rooms are equipped with very comfy beds and design of rooms is simple and nice. Very comfortable room with modern furniture, enough space and firm bed that doesn't move or make any noise. Great comunity living and working there. Nice, simple but cosy sitting area in front of the hostel door. even i spent there only one night but it was good ....evry thing is good property...the place close to the touristic places in istanbul...hope i'll visit itanbul again and caupo specially. Really close to the main nightlife area, but at the same time 5minutes walk from the Galata bridge. Staff is really friendly. Staff were very helpful, nice and flexible. They allowed me to change my booking dates despite the fact that the booking was non refundable. The staff is friendly, the kitchen is great for making your own meals (store nearby) and save some money, internet is reliable and stable. The hotel is just 5mns walk from the tramway station. In the bedrooms you have lockers for your most valuble belongings, but without padlocks; the hostel has, but it is for sale, so you better carry one with you. The bathrooms should be clean more often, but they are not that dirty, you can live with that... And in the common area they have two computers, but only in one the lcd is Ok. This hostel is super cool, trust me, because I am very picky. :D. The location of the hostel is not in a nice street due to many construction around and shaded/dark areas. However i observed no security problem during my stay. The size of the 8 bed dorm is a little tight for the luggage. It is difficult to locate the first time because they do not have a sign up yet. The shower on our floor was out of order so we had to go up or down one floor to shower. All the hairdryers were broken. The terrace was dirty and not usable. The alley to the hotel is dark and a little scary at night and workers in the neighboring warehouse are loud starting at 5am. The doors are a little hard to shut/latch without making a lot of noise and bothering our neighbors. Maube toilet that doesn't flush well enough. -the place of the hostel ..u'll find problem to find it the first time. Hotel is down a small side street and thus quite difficult to find at first, though after you've been there once it's not a problem. the bathrooms could be fixed and cleaned more often. It's not far from the station, but without a gps, little hard to find it out. It's in a very small street. There was no escalator in the building and I had to carried my loggage up to the third floor. The toilet didn't work. In the bathroom, there is no place to put my clothes. none. difficult to find in first time. my room was on the 4th floor There is no lift. How ever better to have some exercise. Just put some oil on the door connections.Everything else great. No sigh with hostel name. A bit difficult to find for first time. Stairs. kitchen a bit cramped for more than one person at a time, but really at such a low price it isn't a big deal. the room was small. stairs. The toilets are dirty as though it was no clean daily. I had to check all four toilets before using it every day i stayed there. The room was not at its best conditions, e.g.: walls are very thin (you can literally hear everything from the other room), there was a hole in the window and a home-made reparation (the guy from the reception barely tried to fix it), the shower drizzled (minor issue). Overall I would rate this hostel a bit overpriced compared to the facilities it offer, however I may think to come back because of the location. I couldn't take a hot shower in a morning. One of the guys in the reception wasn't so nice. The facilities were insufficient : some bathrooms were dammaged and others not properly clean. they charged the amount through credit card before my arrival at the hostel where as i intended to pay them in cash ...... and the room was clean but had some prob of elec due to which AC was tripping. Bathrooms could use some maintenance and regular cleaning. clean.
