Hospitality is SUPER GREAT, the staff is incredible. We felt as in home. Thank You. Things we liked: - Location: the hotel is located in sultanahmet, which is close to the city's landmarks (TopKapi, Blumosque, AgaSofia, Hippodrome, Grand Bazzar) and others. Also it is close from the tram's station. -Design & Style: the whole hotel from the outside is red wooden design which is magnificent and old stylish. -Wi-Fi Connection - Cerial is really good. - The street seat: A good site to have a ci.
all reviews » We are 3 friends and stayed in this hotel for a week in May'13. Location is really perfect. This hotel is best for a city-trip. It's 5 minutes walk to Hagia Sofia and Blue Moscue. Tram station is also not so far. The building is a historic one, after the restoration. Living in a tradition house is a special experience for travelers. Staff is extremely kind and helpful! Breakfast is quite simple but absolutely enough to start your day in Istanbul!. Excellent location! This was the best part of the hotel - it is right in the centre of the Old City within walking distance to all the main attractions and shopping areas. The room was bigger than what we expected for the Old City. The beds were very comfortable (but if you like a fluffy pillow bring your own!!). Wifi reached up to the 4th floor with no problems. Excellent breakfast - and they will make omelettes if you ask!. The staff was were very kind and friendly. The hotel is a charming old turkish house very very close to Ayia Sofia and Top Kapi. So the location is excelent and the breakfast is fair. We stayed at the the roof room,(after a request which was accepted) and even if the ceiling is very low and not so comfy, it has a wonderful view and it is very cute. I am generally satisfied. The location is excellent and the staff are friendly. We were upgraded to a bigger room as it was available, which was great. It is secure and there is staff 24hours. The rooms and bathrooms were clean on arrival and cleaned during our stay even though we only stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was great!. Ideal location! Just steps away from the Higia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Topaki Palace. Also a short walk to the Grand Bazaar. Safe area with lots of restaurants. Sevim was very helpful and she answered any questions we had. Breakfast was sufficient. Would stay again. The staff was very friendly, they even gave us a better room without charging more money when they saw that we had a little baby with us. The room was big, beautifully furnished. The breakfast was served in another building, next to the hotel. Everything was just great!. Very helpful and caring manager who helped us plan our itinerary and gave us tips on how to manage in Istanbul. Also, they upgraded our room since a cancellation had occurred. Good breakfasts too! And a great location next to the historic center, Sultanahmet. the ambıence of the 18th century hotel was absolutely lovely!!! The staff were spectacular and the locatıon was walkıng dıstance to blue mosque, hagıa sofıa, Topkapı palace, grand bazaar and spıce market. I would hıghly recommend thıs accommodatıon!!!!. It was a little cold in the room but we can't find any blankets and air conditioner didn't work in heat mode. Older facilities (but clean) - AC weak for Istanbul summer; fuse popped during the night and was not fixed until the manager got in at 9 am!. No tissue in bathroom or shampoo. No drinking water in the minibar. Room is a little bit small but its an amazing hotel for the location. On top floor bathroomfor short peoplef. small shower, but it is a very small inconvenience. We were on the top floor where the ceiling was very low, we had to duck the whole time but we had a good view to make up for it. Noise--seems like little sound-proofing between rooms. I had room facing street and the noise was considerable late at night. Suggestion: get a room that faces the back garden. - The breakfast was Ok but some variety throughout the week would have been nicer. - The pillows need to be thrown into the garbagge and buy new ones!. the room was really a good price/quality proposal, but it was in the underground with very small Windows. They put us in the basement. The room was clean but we were still underground! Perhaps some of the upstairs rooms were nicer. Small and dark room on the basement floor, reception guys didn't speak English, poor breakfast. There were missing bedlinen, one of the beds collapsed several times during the night. The breakfast was very simple and cold, the water tap-water.
