  We stayed in a Junior suite in the Thani wing (on beach) Bhuri wing is across the road and not as nice. We also had a family package which included a fantastic huge buffet breakfast and 10% of all other F & B in the resort. Great Happy Hour in beach bar. Also, just a short ride in taxi or tuk tuk to Kata or Karon shops and lots of restauran... what people say » ts. We stayed as well at Bang Tao beach at Outrigger Resort which was beautiful and more luxurious - but preferred Katathani due to its location and - Really nice hotel, lots of facilities, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, nice location away from the hustle and bustle of Kata. The first night we had a lot of noise around our room in a ground floor Bhuri wing room (near to the breakfast restaurant), so the next morning I spoke to reception and they immediately moved us to a top floor room elsewhere in the Bhuri wing and after that we slept very well. It was the most unforgettable and sweetest memory that we've ever had in the hotel! - Everything!   This hotel is awesome! Yes, there are a lot of steps to climb but if you are in fairly good shape it won't be a problem and the view is worth it!   The location was awesome - set in a quiet Kata location away from the hustle and bustle of Patong and close enough to the shopping area of Kata Beach. The staff were incredibly friendly and they were able to connect us directly to every tour possible we could think of. They even waited for me on several occasions to return back to the resort. Easily the best resor - We loved it! Hotel is really quiet, and well located. Close to beach: 5 to 10 minutes walking from one of the nicest beaches of the island, and eating facilities nearby. There are some shops, but not too many. Rooms are spacious, luminous, very clean and silent. Nice pool, and massage, tours, transfer and room service. Breakfast and dinner are delicious and offer lots of options.

  The rooms were fantastic, we had a grand deluxe, the staff amazing so attentive and always happy and smiling. As far as location goes I would never stay in patong or karon , although we did tuktuk most days to patong I still love kata beach . I had a baby and staff were more then happy to assist with extra water for her bottles ect.
