The place was clean and quiet. The furnishings were spare, but serviceable. The staff at checkin was good. The area was a 'hip' part of town - near some good restaurants that were not too expensive. It was close to a tramline that got me downtown quickly. Very kind and helpful staff. 1 min walk to tram station and you can be connected to any part of the city. Hardbruke station also around within 500 meters to connect to the airport. Overall connectivity of this place and quality of service by staff.
all reviews » The hotel looked new and modern. Generally the hotel and our room were clean, with no smell. There were many lamps in the room so that it was quite light at night. Internet was stable and fast, included in the price. Hotel is air conditioned. Relatively good rooms having nice bathrooms. Public transportation in the area is great allowing to get to the airport or to the center of the city in near to 20 minutes. There is COOP as well just in 5 minutes walking. Good clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly staff, good breakfast, not too far from the main railway station and close to the tram station for easy hopping around the city. Location. Really easy to reach from Airport or Central Station. Clean and Comfortable Rooms, great Breakfast. Nice area around with cinemas, restaurants, bars and clubs. staff was super! they were very helpful while staying there but also they helped me later on: I forgot something in the room and they sent back to me in Italy for free. There were not good instructions on how to make a local phone call. They would not exchange any money. Little off the city although connected through team with a 15 min tram ride. The hotel is far from tourist attractions, however tram 4 is very frequent, and in 2 minutes walk away from the hotel. By tram 4, you can get the old town in 15 min. There were no mini bar in the room; even if you want to drink water, either you should drink tap water or mineral water with the room temperature. Our room was a bit too small, although the furniture look new and ok. The room had no view, it was like a 3m x 3m box. Getting online in IBIS hotels is a nightmare. Those papers with 10-digit passwords which need to be re-entered every 5 minutes and provided separately for every device just drive me crazy. There is also a construction yard just outside of my window. nothing. Trams don't pass 24/7, if you go out at night and come back to the hotel very late (after 00:30) you'll have to use buses instead, but it's not a big issue, many buses can drop you near the hotel. Breakfast was an optional extra at 15 swiss francs. We had a European plug adaptor which doesn't fit into the Swiss plugs, as these areas far smaller. Basic self-service breakfast, and a little too expensive for what is served. The pillows were too high. Parking very expensive. No air con in lobby. It was a bit farther away from downtown than we had hoped. The price was fairly steep but in Zurich everything is. Floors were not that clean Varying rates per night Very small room. The cleaning ladies are noisy as hell every morning they slam doors, speaking loudly, that's annoying. Beds are bit flimsy and soft (they have a small IKEA style padding mattress on top of the bed). There is only one power plug in the room which is annoying. No English TV channels. TV in room fixed to wall so had to sit on bed to watch it. Bed slips forward on wooden floor when leaning against headboard !. Everything was o.k. No Tea/Coffee in room. Nothing. At hotel the WI-Fi system was very poor and almost not connected in the morning when we need. Only worked in the evening. No ironing/boards in rooms. Do not have cattle to cook hot water. Do not have slipper. Power plug is to less, only one unit. I didn't like hearing the staff tell me "There is nothing I can do." when the internet does not work. Price for room for 2 nights - 230 CHF. The hotel has blocked 400 CHF. Room is very cramped Expensive for the location out of the city Doesn't even have a safe in the room Annoying wifi that keeps logging the user out. Room was very small. Lot of noise could be heard especially in the corridor by staff shouting to each other very early in the morning. Everything.
