  Wonderful friendly staff, great service. We were given separate rooms with no surcharge and without really even asking as there were no twin beds available. Great fireplace and bar! Restaurant was delicious, and service excellent.   Suzanne, the owner, was always there to offer information or help you. The breakfast is wonderful. Typical with meats, cheeses, cereal, yogurt, breads, fresh cut fruit, etc. I believe some items are bio, and that's a plus. I know the burcher muesli is bio and it's delicious. That was what I ate each morning. You can make your own espresso, latte, ... what people say » etc. and there is a good selection of tea. - I really enjoied my stay at Garni Hostatt. Nice and polite staff, cleanbedroom, good location (just 15 mins to the village by walk or 5 mins byfree bus, only 5 mins to the closest ski station), delicious breakfastand the owner drove us (lift) to Engelberg train station when we leftthe hotel. The owner gave us very good tips about the village, whereeat, have fun, rent ski equipament, etc.

  The best aspect of this hotel is that it is about 5 minutes walk to the gondola or a little more to the train station. It has an area for your skis and a warm room for your ski boots. The staff was very nice and the dinner we had there was very tastey. Breakfast was the usual European fair. It is about a 10 minute walk into town along a quiet path... what people say » . The beds are comfortable. - Excellent service, friendly staff and great food. Our stay at the hotel really was the icing on the cake for the entire stay in Engelberg! I've been going to different places in the alpes for six consecutive years now and this is by far the best hotel I've stayed at (regardless of number of stars)!
