The view and location was wonderful, right at the Port where downtown is and a wondeful view of the Alpes and the Lake with really close restaurants and supermakets.Arrived at 10.30pm and left the next morning so didn't spend enough time there to form much of an opinion. Staff were rather cool.Maybe the matress should be replaced for new ones. Had difficulty with the wi-fi connection. Staff level of English not very good. Breakfast buffet was disappointing. Reception closes at 11pm. Not very clear if there was a direct-dial phone number for people to call your room. No parking available, only use off a meter outside on the street.Although the hotel guests got free parking from 17.00 hrs to10.00hrs next day. Major weakness is the quality of the matresses. They could be markedly improved. I had trouble with the strong smell of smoke in my room, ( from a previous guest). I was shocked and distressed as I have never encountered this problem anywhere else in Europe or Australia. I realize that Switzerland doesn't have a no-smoking policy in restaurants, but surely hotels should follow health advice from the World Health Organizations?. The room was rather small, and had nowhere to put any luggage, I could not have stayed for more than one night. the smell of smoke. Better parking facilities. Put in a smoking room when a non smoking was requested and there was an adjoining door from my room to the next which meant that tv noise etc travelled too easily and was disruptive.Old decoration and dirty carpet. Rooms too hot, not enough ventilation.Rooms were a bit small. l'open air !. Very small breakfast room (but coffee machine was good). The repair of the rooms should be done and also a dust cleaning. It is dirty, small rooms, old furniture, bad smell. Rather hot rooms, no airco, but also poor ventilation. Street noise, particularly at night was most disturbing (not traffic but party goers and drunks!) Room very small But, I suppose that is what you get for the money.poor standards. pay extra for breakfast which not worth for value,no coffee or tea or drinks in the room.Rooms need desperate refurbishment and a proper clean up. The shower is very very poor and the rooms are very hot. Its an old worn out Hotel wat to expensive for what you get. recommendation, book the Beau Lac Hotel across the harbour, you spent a little bit more but the Hotel is substantially better and has a good restaurant.

By car:
Coming from all directions, always use motorway exit Serriers.Then drive along the lake in the direction Neuchatel Centre for approximately 3 kilometres. The hotel is situated directly on the port.

The railway station is just 10 minutes on foot. There are also busses (direction Place Pury, number 7 or 9 or 9b). The bus stop is located opposite the hotel. Get off at Saint-Honoré.
