I had booked a room without an ensuite bathroom but was upgraded for free when I arrived after as - This is a lovely old hotel, with a lot of charm, and a beautiful location. There is an exhibit on the history of the hotel, dating back to the 1860's, which is very interesting and put our stay in context. The staff was very welcoming, and spoke English well.

  The appartment was very clean and the accomodation was excellent (dishwasher, baking oven, satellite tv, etc.). There was also much space. Very convenient for our dog. The view from the balcony was superb. And the staff was very friendly. From Arolla you can start many walks. From beginner to advanced. There are also some nice towns in the neigb... what people say » ourhood to go and visit. For groceries we went to Coop in Evolene (10km). Off course you can find what you need also in the small supermarket in Aroll
