Wonderful old hotel, completely refurbished to a very high standard. The staff were friendly, helpful and utterly delightful. Excellent buffet breakfast served in lovely surroundings. Free WiFi throughout the hotel, with a strong and reliable signal in the bedroom. I was upgraded to a superior room with balcony but even if I had not been the Edelweiss would have been exceptional value for money.
all reviews » We had the family room 1 and it was large and comfortable with two bedroom areas and a lounge/tv room. Bathroom was a good size with a large shower. The motel is quiet and peaceful with out road noise. Lockup bike room and access without stairs for luggage. Very happy and will stay there again. Price is reasonable. Room is clean and tidy. Staff are very nice and willing to talk with their customers. They can speak very good English. I really love here. The furniture of some rooms is arranged in a not very functional way (e.g. no seat apt to the table present in the room). Personnel at the reception sometimes not that helpful. The hotel, with many others in Davos took advantage of the snow jam festival to hike up prices. We stayed in the 'deluxe rooftop suite' and although having sole use of the roof terrace the room itself was not the deluxe penthouse that is advertised on letsbookhotel.com. It is pleasant enough but perhaps not as exclusive as portrayed. Rooms were very small Bathrooms on the corridor were ok Too expensive for the services offered. Some rooms are in need of renovation. No dinner available unless booked in the morning; mattress too soft. Not well prepared for children's.
