  The whole experience was so relaxing, the facilities amazing and the people were very attentive and helpful. Incredibly good value for money and well located to do lots of interesting day trips. We went on safari, climbed Sigiriya (get a guide it's definitely worth it) and went to Buddhist temples. Beautiful grounds that ooze tranquility and relax... what people say » ation. Food was good and very well priced for a luxury hotel. I wouldnt think twice about staying here again. - I loved the fact that the staff were incredibly friendly. We arrived early and our room was not ready. They made every effort to ensure it was ready 2 hours prior to usual check in and they even phoned us on our cell phone to let us know it was ready.

  This is a perfect place if you have a family, plenty of space and safe for small children. No mosquitoes and a bath!!! Our 20 month old had ear ache and the people who own the place took us to the hospital , in the night, they offered, we didn't have to ask. It is still the best location even though there is a refurbished hotel at the other end of Galle face Green with nice rooms but not not the same quality or class by a million miles. Make sure you are in the new wing as the old wing is now very tired although it was the best a few years back. I think it is being refurbished and then it will be the better wing as the rooms are huge.
