The hotel was beautiful, but some small things i.e. no face cloths in the bathrooms and not enough toiletries, small details. Inadequate light as you entered the room, hard to see into the safe deposit b0x. All small practical details, but would recommend they be put right. Staff were great however, could not be faulted and atmosphere lovely, food veery good too, some of thee best we had in Seville in fact.
all reviews » Phenomenal converted palace, 52 individual rooms & suites. Five star service and accommodations located among the twisting calles of Sevilla. Taxi to most locations for 5 to 8 Euro, or walk among the beautiful history of Macarena or the old Jewish section. Highly recommended. The hotel was lovely and staff were outstanding - friendly, helpful and attentive. Bed was super comfortable and breakfast was perfect, a lovely dining room with everything you would want. Room once we were given what we had requested was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. (but could/should have been included in the room cost) No trouble with wiFi Mini bar. everything in this hotel is perfect. the staff is friendly, helpfull and the tapas in the hotel were very good. next time, we are in Sevilla, we book this hotel again. Our room was darker than I would have liked and indeed expected from the photos. In addition we had difficulties with the shower (which was otherwise excellent) draining and the air-conditioning. A noisy neighbour above us stomping around was also a negative. Booking a room many months in advance to be given a double bed instead of twin beds. Being English, we do love a cup of tea in our room on waking up or coming back after the day. We were surprised that there was no kettle and tea/coffee in the room when this is so standard in any hotel or b&b these days. It's a minor quibble, but given the cost of our room we expected a kettle rather than ordering tea as an extra. Wireless internet was very unsteady on/of all the time. Nothing!. The internet was a little slow, but what the heck...we were supposed to be on vacation!. * only one thing: the roofterras was closed at 8 pm, so we couldn't enjoy the sunset over Sevilla... Air conditioner at night sounded like a hurricane. Iron was requested but did not appear. Staff in their zeal kept knocking on our door to check all was ok. All minor things. Location though close to all major points of interest is on a narrow somewhat disorienting street, but certainly not their fault that's where the admiral built his palace!. The Terrace - boring and poorly furnished. Needs more happening on that top floor. The rooms are overpriced for their size. Very poor lighting in the room. Not very quiet in the room, we could hear too much above us and in the halls and lobby, and the shower leaked all over the floor. Dark room. We were in room 12, lovely room but next to street very noisy. Breakfast not included. The location of the toilet paper. Double bed but 2 singe duvets!. Nothing!. Breakfast was not included. Very expensive No bar 30 Euros per night for parking! Breakfast too expensive a very quiet part of town. The rooms and environment are really smaller than pictures or imagination.
