Great location across street from Retiro park. Room decor was much better in person than photos showed on the internet. Easy walk to central shopping,restaurants, and museums. Much better value than other hotels in this upscale neighborhood. The Ritz and The Palace just around the corner and are way more expensive -- the rooms at the Savoy Petit Palace are not equivalent to those hotels, but still very nice in great neighborhood for 1/3 the price.
all reviews » Fantastic hotel, overlooking retiro park. You heard no noise from other people staying in the hotel and the room was fabulous. Even had a laptop provided in the room with free wifi. Friendly staff and if you want to come back to the hotel at 6am they let you in no problem. Great location and a beautiful building, even the tourits on the tour bus took photos of the building! I would stay again and recommend to anyone. For a family with young children, this location in Madrid is perfect. We walked out the front door and into the lovely park across the street. Boating, beautiful wooded paths, playground... an awesome location. Within 10 minutes walk to the major Madrid sights, but closest to the sight that matters most to my family. I love Madrid and the park is my favorite part. Very well located in front of El Retiro Park and walking distance from all main attractions. Just 3 blocks away from the airport shuttle stop. Hip and modern decorated. The room was huge an the confortable bathroom facilities. Notebook, tv, and docking station in every room. Staff very helpful. We enjoyed everything about the Petit Place Savoy, The location was perfect for us...it was a close walk to metro stations, shopping and local cafe's. We loved our view of Retiro park! Breakfast at 15euro is a little bit overpriced. We never did figure out how to turn the bathroom fan on... No decaffeinated beverages are available on breakfast. The room is nice but I've really missed the mirror in the room (it is available only in bathroom). The room with a street or park view would make a stay even better, the hotel was full and we got only with an inside court view. There are not a great many restaurants in the area as in other areas. We had to take taxis all the time to restaurants. We felt the hotel was a bit soul-less. The absence of a lobby made it less visitor-friendly. We did not like very much the 'high'tech' feel of the place, especially within an old building;it felt as if it had been stripped of its character. Nothing. Style is a matter of choice. But too minimalist. There was nothing comfortable to sit on in any public areas and ruined by bland impersonal decoration. Bar very uninviting. Only mirror was in bathroom. The hotel room is very modern but not particularly functional with regard to the shower and restroom. breakfast room underground without any daylight. Breakfast is too expencive. crazy blue wall behind the bed and ZEBRA style floor carpet !!! It"s just out of relax.... non speakining englisn staff in the restaurant. no issues. Staff weren't very friendly and didn't respond to call for broken hotel safe. nothing. Nothing. Pity, the restaurant was closed for some reasons during my stay and i had no idea of the quaility of the breakfast service:). Lack or poor facilities in lobby. Very poor bar, not attended. The advertised "a la carte" restaurant not functional. Very hard beds. Minibar half empty at arrival. slow check-in. no one to take your luggage. needed to use the bathroom and asked where it was. couldn't fnd it and they did not help. There was no mirror in the bedroom and we had 2 single beds put together, not what a married couple want on a weekend away. Even if its with the children.
