  the staff - the food - the room - the hotel itself - 100% first class. i was in mahon to attend my brother in laws funeral staying at the barcalo made the unhappy event bearable. - We have stayed at The Hamilton in previous years, and their food and service has remained at a high level.

  The food at the hostal bar was amazing and the hostal itself was very cosy and inviting. Definitely a great location and I would recommend it to anybody with a budget! - It was situated near to Maó and near to es Castell also. It was a bus service.

  We stayed at Hostal La Isla in august for 7 days with the half-board service. Satisfying food - but don't expect a five stars treatment, remember it is a hostel - daily cleaning service, aircon+wi-fi, closeness to the touristic port, the city centre, a supermarket and a free car parking in case you rent a car. Breakfast was lovely and he offered me choices of cheese and tomato on the toast - very Spanish and very nice. Location was very central but yet very quiet. Extremely good value. I will return because it's a beautiful spot and the people are so warm.
