Excellent location -literally 5 minutes walk from the centre of Barcelona. Very reasonably priced for a city centre location. Staff were excellent - very friendly and accomodating. Hotel is well equipped - it's a basic hotel with modern decor and is very clean. Little extras - vending machine which has sandwiches, crisps and juice etc. water in rooms, air conditioning. Kitchen with all day tea and coffee facilities. Laptops and a printer. Breakfast - teas and coffees with muffins. Basic but a n.
all reviews » The hostal is really clean. The location is perfect. In front of the metro station, but staying at Hostal Q you dont need to use the metro, because the hostal is really near of everything you will visit. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The room was really confortable and clean. The hostal looks to be very new, wich is good. The shower is perfect. For sure the best shower I used in Europe!! They have elevator, computers and small kitchen that makes your life easier. I really recomend . The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient and the premises very clean. No breakfast, but a nice kitchenette to make yourself tea (provided for free), and vending machines with water, snacks and sandwiches are available. Finally, free WiFi and three PCs with internet access are at the disposal of the guests. You get a very good value for the money you spend. I would most certainly return. Location was perfect - a short walk to La Rambla, Plaza Catalunya, El Born, the market, hundreds of restaurants Metro just outside the door, buses to airport in Plaza Catalunya. Rooms were clean, comfortable and attractive. Nice common kitchenette area. Free internet was a huge plus for us as we don't have a laptop or tablet. staff were very friendly and helpful - all spoke good English. Team is fantastic, care about guests and are plenty of tips besides everybody is multilingual. It is situated in a strategic point of Barcelona with a myriad of connections available. Cost/benefit is great too! Do not expect a luxury hotel but one with spacious and clear rooms where you can sleep comfortably and safely. I strongly recommend!. Ricard is very accomodating and answered our questions and gave us suggestions where to go around the city. He even explained to us the significance of the towers in Sagrada Familia. Good free wi-fi. The hotel was centally located right next to the subway and buslines. And the staff were really helpful. At 3 a.m. in the morning I went downstairs to get a blanket. It was really nice of the man at the reception to get me a blanket that late at night. The free wifi was quite strong. friendly staff who were happy to provide recommendations on where to eat clean rooms! walking distance to la rambla! and also walking distance to the bus that takes you to the airport just right next to the metro pantry where you could get a complimentary drink. Location is great, close to main attractions, metro and bus. Really liked common area with some basic utilities available. Also there are 3 laptops are ready for everyone to use. Room designed in Ikea style, looks stylish. Shower was great (size and fixture). Bring ear plugs and it's not an issue! Shower - see through glass. Not a major sticking point but it would have better better if the glass was frosted. I was on holiday with my mum so we took turns at getting ready for privacy. The downside of the central location was the constant noise coming from the busy streets surrounding the hotel (but the vending machines sell also earplugs). Also, while the room was kept very clean by the cleaning lady, a fine concrete dust kept falling from the ceiling and depositing itself on all surfaces (and my belongings). The only negative was the loud traffic noise from busy streets in front and behind. Be sure to take earplugs. Some details could be and certainly will be improved like lightning of the rooms. Small room but cozy, just enough for 2, no more. Noisy at night time. I would suggest sound proof thick windows. It wasn't an issue though especially that I am aware of thr location. The toilet was so small that you had to leave the door open to use it. This made for many awkward moments. In addition because the room was located on a main Street it was very noisy. Traffic noise and the noise from workers from area bars and restaurants recycling bottles at all hours kept us from getting a good night's sleep all night. Our room did not have natural light source (we had one fake window, not transparent glass, no way to see where it opens to) and only local spot lights. It was kind of romantic but sometimes you need a good light (for packing as example). Also fan in shower would be great. That there was only 1 English speaking channel, 1 more wouldn't have gone a miss. Some weird lighting effects make it difficult to see what your doing at times. Shower has a bizarre curtain...outside of the shower, meaning once your in it someone outside can open it! A little sterile. Needs bigger signboard outside, was almost invisible during the day. Toilet amenieties wasn't refreshed (except towels which were excellent). The rooms which face the road have very thin windows - its too noisy when the city wakes up. Beds are little small and You can hear whats going out clearly .. But we were so tiréd so we just sept .. Any way the stay was great these things didn't effect .. I wouldome back really:). Poor room temp control - our room was too warm for comfort with no windows & the thermostat didn't work well. During the night the front desk is manned by security only so there were no hotel personnel to help. I actually slept on the terrazzo floor to cool off. Our room was small. Also walls were too thin that we can hear any voice from outside. But it was ok since we were using the room just for sleeping. rooms facing the street are a little noisy. The noise from outside and the thin walls. noisy at night because of old window. windows shall be openable.. there s no fresh air axess which makes the room tired.. No windows in the rooms . Rooms are small. Isolation is poor. The rooms were very small and had no window so no fresh air came in. If you are not a couple, like some of my friends who also came on the trip it isnt easy staying in such a small room there is hardly any privacy as there is not even a door to the shower in some of the rooms. Our room was facing the road and it was EXTREMELY noisy at night time with traffic. The air conditioning was controlled by the reception staff and you had to call them when you wanted it turned on or off. You couldn't open the windows. Our room was still under construction there wasn't a roof but a black sheet over the top of our room. Room Layout was weird. Probably do better. Noise! We had the "quiet" room but you can hear the subway rumbling as well as your neighbors. Not for those who are awakened by noise(like me)- my Friend was oblivious to it and slept fine. The room is not soundproofed. very noisy, too humid (shower inside the bedroom, no dedicated ventilation), staff cleaning quite partial. It's really too noisy. I can't sleep all night. The soundproofing isn't enought good. I always heard the sound of cars in the street. Most rooms do not have windows and are completely without contact to the outside, no daylight, no air inlet. This was NOT stated in the description in the letsbookhotel.com website. The website states that there are "free" softdrinks for the clients in the public area. This is NOT TRUE, there is a vending machine and one has to pay for the drinks. They only give a very small bottle of water in the room, only once in three days of stay.
