The locality. It is perfect. It is by Plaza Catalunya-the heart of the city. I never needed to use the taxi. Everything was close by-Plaza Catalunya was a 5 min walk, the metro was a 5 min walk, the bus stop was a 5 step walk, Las Ramblas was a 10 min walk away. The rooms were 4 star quality. The bathroom was classy and huge and perfect. Breakfast was way tooo good.The hotel staff was the best!. all reviews »
This hotel has some of the most helpful staff I have encountered. They really went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean , as is the whole hotel.The hotel employee was very nice and helpfull! The room was huge, comfortabel and very clean. We will defenitly book this hotel again next time. They are also very child-friendly. Great and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Window/balcony. Ac and elevatorsworked great. The bathroom was big and quite nice but there was no counter space - strange. Modern look and feel but lacked practicality. Add a shelf - and it would be perfect.Only one bar of soap. No place to put the soap in the shower. The elevator is unusually slow. The room temperature is less than below average, but could be counteracted by opening the windows. No different than most European hotels.Shower could be dangerous. There is nothing to hold onto. If one started to slip, it is very easy to fall. Also, you could give two of the small pieces of soap and two of the small containers of shampoo instead of one, especially in a room for two people. loud street in front but with the aircondition on its no need to keep the windows open, therefore we slept really good. The shower is slippery and there is a risk of accident, if you are not careful. When you pay 11 euros for breakfast at Gran Gonda, I think it´s very important that all the food is fresh and there's still enough of all the different kind of food, even though you first eat at 10:00 a.m.The fridge (mini bar) door broke. but, that is possible anywhere. There was a unpleasant smell in the rooms - perhaps a blocked drain?. I had a room with a window looking out to the elevator shaft. Weird view aside, this caused for a restless sleep as noise from the hotel staff chatting and other guests clamouring around on any given floor filtered through my room clear as day. Closing the window did not help one bit. So if i were to recommend this hotel, I might suggest getting a room looking out to the street. the general sense of sound traveled from lobby up thru hotel. noty bad but some carpeting could help?. could be better loaction,.

* Train: The train from the airport leaves every 30 minutes and takes 35 minutes to arrive to the city centre. You must stop in Plaça Catalunya and transfer to the bus number 24 (every 10 minutes and it will take you 6 minutes). You should get off on the 2nd. stop (Ronda Sant Antoni at Muntaner st.) The hotel is located 50 meters from the bus stop. You can also walk from Plaça Catalunya Central Train Station. It is about 10 minutes from the hotel.
