it is situated in the center of Rambla, 5 min on foot to Port Vell, where you can do shopping in grand mall, and also just have a rest sitting on the benches and watching the sea, ships, also entertaiment programs on the sea... If you go another direction from the hotel you can go to Katalunia. you can buy smthg to eat and have lunch in the first floor with coffe machines, microwive, and watch Rambla. The rooms are cleaned everyday, and towels also are changed.
all reviews » Location is fantastic - just on Ramblas, very close to the metro station (Drassanes) . Gothic quarter just around the corner, and so also Palacio Guell. Cathedral 10 minutes walk from the Hotel. Staff was very helpful. The room was quite spacious and reasonably clean. Breakfast reasonably good. Overall, I think that we got our money worth. I like the location. You are near many things. You can walk to many tourist attractions. You also have the subway station almost in front of the hotel with direct line to RENFE, the Guell Park and the Paseo de Gracia. Besides, the room was really comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was good too. Nice staff. Spacious rooms, great breakfast, nice staff, excellent location, sparkling clean, "Chopin" room available for everyone and computer with internet access and printer available! They can also provide you a room to iron your stuff! That's more than 2 star! Congrats and keep up the good work!. Location was excellent. Right in the centre of all the activity. Double glazing meant we had quiet room. The staff were very helpful. Held our bags prior to room being available and they held our bags on the final day prior to going to airport. The window in the first room we stayed was to the side opposite Ramblas, and the view was rather ugly (but it was quit!). The second room overlooked Ramblas, so the view was OK, but it was quite noisy. It's not that bad but the elevator is sooo slow!!! With some carpet floor and refurbished ceiling the hotel may run for 3 star! And one thing is true, the sound proofing of the rooms facing Rambla sucks! Fortunatelly, I was too tired not to sleep!. I didn't like a "quiet" room which I didn't take because I fortunately was given a choice. The room had a "view" to air-conditioning machinery located outside the window. There were smells in the bathroom which were common throughout Barcelona whilst walking, and eating out, but not as bad as Venice in the summer. hard to find fault!. could hear the adjacent room very clearly but that could have been just bad luck. The staff made a mistake with my bill when checking out. The date of checking in was wrong and an extra day was charged. The person in the reception demanded proof of my check in, otherwise I was paying an extra night. Finally, after severe discussion and showing my check in evidence date, the situation was solved. Be careful and verify check in date closely. Tiny elevator. Breakfast very basic. La Rambla is noisy throughout the night and so do hear the noise in the hotel which might be a problem if you are a light sleeper. Breakfast is not bad but rather limited for european standards. tiny balcony facing a wall, but at the rear of the hotel at least it was quiet at night. Nothing. A bit of noise from the street, but that's kind of normal at the La Rambla. Can be a bit noisy at night (but it is in the middle of the city so can't have both). Bathroom had no window, felt like a prison. Bedroom window faced an alley way, but a room with a view was not requested. noise maybe - significantly reduced when windows are shut. The floor in the room hadn't been cleaned for some time. dirty and sticky. Bed pillow, much too hard. Morning coffee made out of instant. The beds. N/A. nothing. The noise from the street and the nightclub across the street. Facilities. No water in room.
