I liked the fact that there is undercover parking at a low R14 per night. And the hotel is close to uShaka, my main reason for driving through Durban and staying over one night on my way from Johannesburg back to East London. Nice staff, Nice Location, Clean hotel. The hotel staff actually served me breakfast before 7am (which is when breakfast should start) so I can eat and be ontime for the 7am airport shuttle which they arranged for me.

I liked the hospitality, the staff is friendly especially the guy on night shift. We enjoyed ourselves with my girlfriend and it was a great value for money hotel. i would like to thank the staff members of riviera hotel for making us feel at home.im defiantly coming back....keep the good hospitality from Londeka and Sakhile. I liked the place and the way I was treated was brilliant .The safety of my car was also superb and I wish I could come again during December time with my kids. The hotel was surprisingly clean even as there were some upgrading done at the parking garage next door. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Your decor in the rooms, the arrangement of the room is stunning. The idea of white sheets is the in style of the century clean ironed well dressed. The friendly and accommodating staff, the room,the cleanliness just what one needed after a long bus journey. Thank you Rivera Hotel. For me it was just to have a safe place to & from conference to sleep,hmm ja I can say I can rrecommend it to someone else. rooms are beautiful,zandi was very friendly all the time,other stuff as well.the food was deliciuos from the resturant. Very quiet in the hotel except for noise that comes from outside. Very convenient regarding transport. the hotel is well placed next to public transport and city centre not forgeting the habour. convenient, comfortable, accommodating and allowed us to book in early and good location. the presentation of the room was execellent. beautiful view that complimented the room. We have enjoyed the view from the room. Clean, easily accessible, convenient. it was budget friendly. This is a hotel without car parking. Even they don't have provision for landing. The expense is double than the facilities. parking availability, location to cbd. The location is nice & quiet. the staff was very friendly. I Liked nothing. A little limited menu for breakfast, noisy atmosphere because of busy road traffic, it stays noisy until about 12pm and starts again at about 6am so getting a good night's sleep might be difficult. I phoned the hotel after receiving a reservation code, confirmation, letter, proof or whatever its called and the lady I spoke to was semi-or undertrained in such a way that I was leading her to an answer, but when I got there everybody was satisfactory. I think the hotel must include parking in their parkage. Baving to arrange for parking individually is time consuming. Also giving out gym vouchers to customers staying in will definitely increase client base. The basin for washing hand is very small because when you open the tap the water spills on the floor. Due to the hotel being at the main road to the harbour, the traffic was very noisy but after a few night we got used to it. The staff is cold, the white lady i think she is the Manager there, not welcoming not warm, very distant no eye contact no greeting very bad service. So i acnnot say much about the general staff cause the Seniour is also on the same page, their culcure is not nice. They should greet and smile atleast. Nothing. they were not clean our room,they were only make our beds only. all was fair for a budject hotel. nothing!!. Baby cot for an 8-year old child. Poor TV and limited hot water in one of our two rooms but the other room was perfect. The lift, we living in a 21st century. Where did you still use a lift with a manual door, really!It must be upgraded shame. And the smell inside was not pleasant. during the week it would have been great if the pool room or bar area was open a little bit later. :). the rooms are small and some rooms has air conditioning and others a fan. Outside and reception area is not appealing. noise levels, cigarettes smoke from level 1. No tea or coffee making facility in room. Few tenants were making a lot of noise during night which disturb while sleeping. Traffic noise ridiculous. No coffee in rooms. the food. i don't like when the staff clean my while i;m out for shopping or something its better to wait until i get back or clean after i checked out. Add a fridge in each room. No free parking spot from the hotel,the loudness from the bar in the building.broken air conditioner. There are no fridge, micro oven and kettle in the room- may you consider them please. Location. Breakfast that is part of the package was in the dirty little take away when entering the hotel. foyer was dingy. No tea, coffee in the rooms. Some senior staff don't greet clients. it was noisy as we slept on the main street side, and the food was very basic and lack of variety for A holiday. The toilet is too small, basin is too small and too low. Rooms are poor compared to rent. The price is too high compared to facility. traffic noise, guest noise. no heating. no fridge in the room. The cleaning staff was poor and the facilities(The lifts were out of order) were disappointing. Room 209, the noise of cars and trucks was unbearable, hardly to sleep, the breakfast was small, especially bread slices. may be other rooms are better than room 209. I didn't like that the dining room is only open after 7am. What about the people who came for business and need to leave early. The location is in a very shady area. Poor service, breakfast are dirty, short staffed at the restuarant. Your web ad reflect opposite of what you experience practically.
