Everything was perfect, specially staff was very friendly and always ready to help us with anything :-) the other plus was really enough big bathtop in the bathroom. Our appartment was spaciously, really clean, inside the kitchen was everything we needed to prepare our breakfast lunch or dinner. We were really satisfied with our vacation in this hotel. Thanks a lot. We had fully equipped apartment - kitchen, part for living room, bathroom - all nice quality and new. Great personnel, nice spa (10 euro/2 hours/person), parking for free (we had in the garage, but usually is outside - covered). 10-15 mins walk to the center of Stary Smokovec, nice Restaurant close, also a small shop.
all reviews » We were in a studio apartment but it was huge !!!!! It had everything we needed and all the furnishings were of great quality. The room appeared to us to be almost new !!!! Close to the railway and Stary Smokovec. Would be ideal for a family with young children. Nice staff, covered car parking (each apartment has own parking place), good and quiet location, not far from train station, restaurants etc. Very good internet connection (wired). All amenities working. Well kept and clean. Good location. Room so clean that I thought I was the first person staying in that room. Hot water, heating, tv, kitchen appliances - everything worked. I would definately recommend this hotel to everyone. Clean modern room with a kitchen. Beacuase of nearby Railway station it is a good starting point for hiking. There is a nice hotel owned parkplace nearby the entrance. Probably best hotel in Tatry where i stay for last few years. Big nice studiu, clean close to train station. Perfect SPA for great price. And staff was also good. one of the best hotels ever - huge rooms (we had really big terrace), perfect location, perfect baby play-zone, kind and helpful staff. Nothing to complain. room is big, quiet. The quietness. new, modern functional. We have to put just one unlike. When we arrived by the train from the trainstop we couldnt find so easily the hotel. But we asked some people and the helped us. And one other small minus was internet connection. In the reception they gave as a cable to connect to the internet in our room becasue wifi was only in the bar or reception but this cable didnt work as properly as we expected. But doesnt matter, we came to enjoy our holidays there, not to spend our time on the internet :-). The only negative was how to get there for the first time...Novy Smokovec is all served by one way streets (actually, only one) - you can see Familia's green lights from the main road just leaving Stary Smokovec, however, the one way entrance to Novy Smokovec is rather far - you would not expect that is the way to get to Familia :-) So be sure to check the way how to get there beforehand. Otherwise our stay was great!. No Oven in room. Not clear when booking that a Tatra card was available to us. We purchased a 3 day rail pass in Poprad in advance before later finding out that this came free with the Tatra Card. At this price category I was very happy with all conditions and I've got what I paid for. No WiFi in the room. The Hotel does not have a resturant and you have to walk 10 minutes to reach Stary Smokovec (or 2 stops with the railway which goes every hour). Wifi in the room was little missing but at least cable internet is there. none meal options - however fully equipped kitchen was available at room. Do not even offer breakfast but you can eat in another guesthouse, 50m from Familia apartments - Villa Siesta for 13eur for HB. There should be more dishes in kitchen. Room service doesn't come every day. It was not mentionned that the wellness facilities cost 10 Euros for 2 hours. No wifi in the room or lobby. No terrases. dance music in the spa wasn't relaxing. A little expencive. Charged 3 Euro for eachTatra Card that shuold be given for free (they said that guests that make the reservation through letsbookhotel.com have to pay for the card). Unfortunately no restaurant in the apartments, but few nearby). no WIFI in the room, only wired internet... To far from skilift and village. Would have been great to have a more helpful staff. as always with these apartments, noisy fridge gurgling all night. Also, access to sauna costs extra - not as advertised.
