Russian dream is only 15 mins walk from Red Square and less than 5 mins from a metro station. Day staff spoke good english and were very helpful. The owner (Denis I think) was very knowledgable and helped us with a visa query. Rooms are basic but clean. We paid extra for a room with a window - well worth it! Free Wifi is fast. We would definately stay there again. The staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean. There is internet (also a laptop). The location is excellent - it's about 10 minute walking distance to the Kremlin. I am a regular guest - every time I go to Moscow, I stay at Russian Dream. This is the best way to enjoy city life and have great time without spending much money.

The staff are very hospitable and can clean the shower and restrooms in time. The hostel is quite warm inside. The shower is comfortable when you have suffered the cold outside. The location is great , a few minutes walking to get to the red square and five minutes to the subway station . Its very easy to get the train to reach to the cosmonaut museum. The staff were kind , and the wi fi has a good speed. I liked the room. It is a nice hostel even it is very small! I had a good experience here. The staff are very nice & helpful, There is a small cooking area & nice! Excellent location within easy walking distance to Red Square. Kitay Gorod metro station also just 5 minutes walk. Reception desk manned 24 hours, and the shared facilities always seemed available when needed. Hospitability and courtesy of stuff, low costs, Wi-Fi without any problem, tea & coffee, comfort, location (district), possibility to meet interesting people, domestic atmosphere. Very good location. 3 mins by foot to subway station. A lot of bars nearby. Quite clean but small rooms. Clean toilets. It's definitely good place to stay for one ore two nights. the room was big and bright, the staff was very friendly and helpful, there is a kitchen and you can get coffee and tea for free. Price and location. Location. What to write about Russian Dream, it is not dream at all :) Location is very good for its price, close to city center and metro. Not very easy to find though at first especially because there is no sign on the entrance door. Discription on the site is not clear. This was the cheapest place we could find for a couple finally. Rather good and cheap (!) hotel with a kitchen is suitable for one who comes to see and learn the city but not to spend much time in the hotel. 5 min to the metro station, 10 min to the Red Square. Not very easy to find for the first time. And actually it is just located next to the church. Better to have a sign outside for guidance. The room is tiny and some of them are not equipped with a window, so make sure to book in advance. The bed board fell down twice during our stay of three days. My room was hotter than I would have liked, and there was no temperature control or window in the room. Perhaps, too many guests against early February when I was staying last time here. Sometimes it was hard to use toilet and find a cup for tea/coffee. Nothing. But to be honest we stayed there only for one night and were inside only about 6 hours. the main issue was the shower, which looked dirty... Also, there were some strange people staying in the room across from us. They kept their door open at all times and tried to look into our room every time we opened the door. Also, there was no A/C, we kept the window open, but it was still a bit stuffy. The room was tiny, only enough space for the bed. As a solo traveller with just hand luggage, it wasn't a problem for me, but a couple sharing would be very cramped. The room was really hot as well, despite the temperature not being particularly high outside. No sign on the building or entrance to say you had arrived at the accommodation which occupies a half floor of a large block of flats. No other complaints!. is not a hotel it is a large apartment with lots of room for guests plus a kitchen, I recommend the larger rooms, the small ones are really tight. Problems with shower: water changing from hot to cold every 30 seconds. It was a little difficult to find. It's in an apartment building with no signage. You enter the building by entering a code in an intercom system. Even at the intercom system there are no instructions or indication that the hotel is located there. But once you are checked in, everything flows great. Can be a bit difficult to find when you first arrive, look for the first big red door round the back, press 40 and wait to hear dial tone. Hotel is first door on second floor. There was now window im my room, and it was not mentioned in description. Small rooms. In budget rooms there is no window and no air conditioning. I haven't see a cleaning lady ever and I suspect that there is no :) The preparation of a room for new guests consists of changing bed sheets, that is all. So you get what you pay for :) Don't recommend a room with double bed, it is two square meters literaly and bed is very weak, cheapest in ikea, better choose with two single beds. Even if it's easy to find, when you arrive in the courtyard of the building there are 5 or 6 doors but no sign with the hostel's name. The comun bathrooms were really dirty. Hard to find at the first time 'cause they didn't put any sign for the hostel. But once we knew it, found out that the location is perfect for traveler. The size of 2 bathrooms without shower are very small. Hardly to make any movement even for Asian's small posture. Piccola camera senza finestra. Basic twin room is a closet with no windows I had to upgrade to a real room with a window for another 400 rubles because I need air. Address is hard to find. Room is very small that we can hardly put our luggage. We book twin bed but they only give us bunk bed. No tourist map is given. Some rooms are extremely small. There is no common room. The size of the room: literally no space to walk or put anything bigger than a cabin suitcase around the bunk bed. Hard to find. Rooms too small to be confortable. Assistant managers are not very good. Can be too hot and noisy. the kitchen and toilet is needs to be more clean. the shower needs improvement. Only 2 showers for up to 40people (20+ rooms). Not comfort enought for longer stay.
