The hotel was above than our expectations, is very beatiful, clean, and the staff in all the areas are very friendly, helpfull and efficient. We stay just one night, we were in transit, but we love the hotel and the few places we saw in San Juan, we definetly will be back for vacations. Totally recommended. The staff was extremely outgoing and accommodating! The food was great and again, the waitpersons were fab! Fitness room was over the top and the pool areas great! We loved the beach and thought it was on of the best ever! Great location!.

I travel to San Juan alone, staff was friendly and welcoming. I changed rooms because my window didn't lock and staff was very accommodating. The grounds have security at entrance points from the beach. There is a police presence on the public beach and on the street, which gave me a sense of security. I walked to Walgreens 2 blocks away, subway and Dunkin Donuts across rhe street and Wendy's 1/2 a block away. I also ventured off to 2 other hotels for dinner. I enjoyed the poolside and beachsid. Pool areas, the beach and the gym. La Perla restaurant is also good. The service was awesome! Staff were super friendly and very attentive. Our housekeeping service declined after the first day even though we generously tipped ahead of time. By our third night we need towels and our one robe was missing. No note paper or writing instruments and we had to wait until 5 o'clock to get our room cleaned!. We booked our hotel with letsbookhotel.com and we were not notified prior to booking/arrival about the hotel's 'resort fee' in addition to the room and tax rate. It would have been great to know this information in advance. The resort fee caught us by surprise. *Beds were horrible....creaked and seemed very worn....downright uncomfortable. *Food was really bad for dinner room service. Eat out!!! ($9 for Kraft Mac and Cheese---I'm not joking. It was undercooked and gross. I took two bites) *Checking in was a nightmare. They had everyone come in to get rooms at 3-4, and had no rooms ready. Everyone was sitting around pissed. I got there at 1pm and had to wait 3 hours. Food was pricey, especially breakfast. The resort fee and room tax made our bill 300+ dollars more than what we had booked on this website. the hotel itself for food and drinks is ridiculously overpriced. Not too many complaints. None that I can even think of now. The bar prices were unexpectedly high. Slow elevators and the fact that they charged a $350 security deposit on our account even thought we paid in full - I did not find anything in print stating that additional money will be added to the account. They told me it could be used for food purchase at the place, gift shops, or the bar. I was taken back by that. We stayed the night between saturday and sunday, and there was a terrific noise from the park next door - bands playing and outdoor tv big-screen. Cheap furniture in my suite Late day room cleanings. Not enough elevators, pools kind of small. A bit pricey Some minor issues with TV working Too crowded A bit loud. I didn't nor needed to use the resort fee but was charge daily for it. Price little High for room. The other side of the street, it was not so nice. We would have liked a indoor shower with changing area in the gym so that we could shower after checkout. We had 5 hours of dead time waiting to head to the airport, where we could have used the facilities and enjoyed more sun. That I could not stay longer. The drinks seemed really weak. nothing. I loved this place!. Food costs. Arrived at 1130am room availlable 1515pm,check in 1600pm but many guests arrived with suitcases and went immediately to rooms.Food very expensive.I requested a room on an upper floor was given one on the ground floor. Room while nice was very very tight. Advertised as 'spacious' which we found not to be the case. While price was not an issue on beverage and food we found it to be pricey compared to other islands at 4-5 star resorts. No deal breakers. Hard to get staff to help with chairs on beach. Although the decor is modern it is somewhat worn in the 2 rooms I had an opportunity to see. The grout in the showers where black and questionable whether it was old, dirt or mold, I wore shower shoes. Extremly bad customer service, especially the maid and room service. In addition, the rooms are old and are in need of renovation. Not at all as in the pictures.. Restaurant at the pools serves poor but expensive food. I paid full price for an "ocean view" and was presented with a sliver of ocean surrounded by two buildings and a great view of a propane tank. When I asked concierge about it, I was informed that this was the only room in the suite tower without a balcony and with that crappy view. Nothing was done to make amends. The original room price was about 230 per night which I thought was a bit steep but was comparable to other hotels. This cost ballooned to 357 through some fictitious charges by the hotel - what is room tax when you're charging resort fee? And what is the mysterious 60$ additional fee which didn't show up on the receipt? If I had known earlier, I would have gone with better hotels, this place offers relatively little for the money they charge.
