Cleanliness and breakfast. Well located with super view of the harbour Helpful staff. Beautiful location, good restaurant.Central location, clean, presentable and courteous staff (except the manon the morning of July 11. He looked very unkept and unshaven and didnot smile). Close to central amenities and the Louisiana Resturant by the fish market and also the departure point for local Ferries to and from Stord.close to Bergen harbour. The outside temperature was unusually high and like many European countries with cooler climates the room had no AC. The room cooled down with open windows at night and I had a comfortable night.The standard of coffee for breakfast. We ended up bringing our own instant. Rooms not climated, but I assume there are only a few hot days in the summer. There was a ventilator and it is a quiet area so you can leave the windows open. The coffee was awful, as everywhere in Bergen ;-(. I understand that renovation is unavoidable but Builders materials do not need to be left in a careless way, cluttering the corridors. The chef did not start early enough in the morning - however if that was my only problem, I had no real problem...!. Lack of parking or even lack of any coupon or rebate to use the publicparking. Hotel guests should receive some discount. THey were in the midst of renovations, and our room was affected. There were things that hadn't yet been finished. When I arrived they did not get any confirmation of Book.com although I was able to show the voucher send to me! However it turned out that I got the same price as mentioned in your booking system and stayed anyway!. Your website stated that this hotel accepted Maestro debit cards. When we came to settle our account we could not use this card. Fortunately we had another we could use.No real comments as it was an overnight stay prior to flying out. 1-when the staff says "the room is on the side" it means the room is on the street. 2-when facade renovation is underway and the windows is closed by a plastic protection on a scaffolding the room could be discounted.hotel was in the middle of major renovation, the room was in the middle of a buliding site. I feel it is unfair not to alert guests when they book. I would certainly have booked somewhere else if I had known.
