The location of the hotel is excellent for airport transfers and generalsight seeing. The hotel also has a very nice touch with the afternoonwaffles and coffee. An extremely pleasant weekend in a excellent city. All the extras that were included (the breakfast bacon and egg! )The waffles, the evening meal, the ice machine, the free internet. The quiet room, the friendly staff, the comfortable lounge.
all reviews » I thought the rooms were excellent, very well designed, beautifully appointed. Hotel is nicely situated on the Bergen harbor. It is on the same side of the harbor several of the most popular museums, shops and restaurants. Hotel is beautifully decorated. We had 2 decently sized double rooms which were clean and quiet. Breakfast was ample, varied and served in a lovely breakfast room.Good Location, cleanliness of the hotel, half -board with still that price is very good specially if you compare the price with the hotel next door which is SAS scandic even they have a facility of a pool and sauna. I enjoyed the breakfast, tea/coffee through the day and the light evening meal. The staff were excellent, always polite and curtious and always helpful.Superb location, wonderful amenities, wonderful use of classic old building. The rooms were lovely and enjoyed complementary waffles. Staff excellent and very very hepful. Staff were excellent. A veru nice hotel. It is very well located. Not ken on room decor. dining room staff more interested in feeding themselves, than guests poor bedroom lighting for make-up and reading. The breakfast is the same than the diner. Anything suit in the morning. If you need soap or shampoo, you have to pay (it is supposed to be a 4 star hotel!!!. Email (Yahoo and Google) did not work on hotel computers. Price but hotels and food was very very expensive in Norway. 4 times what we pay in USA.Parking. Room and bathroom was very small. Lighting was totally inadequate-impossible to read in bed as side light was so poor..room looked on to ugly courtyard and was dull in daytime.Very large furniture in room- 2 big chairs and a big table-made the room seem even smaller.Very poor storage-had to keep clothes in our bags as ironing board and extra pillows etc filled the small wardrobe.poor breakfast and very bad evening meal buffet, compulsorily included in tarif - bad food, no food replacement, no staff present. Small rooms.No air conditioning.No fans available.Poor qualithy of towels.Not enough towels.
