It was located in a lovely place by a lake, the staff were very helpfuland friendly, was clean quiet and comfortable, and the food wasexcellent and plentifull so we had no need to look elsewhere, as forvalue for money it was better than some of the more luxury hotels wehave stayed in around the world,. An excellent hotel that is warm and friendly, the rooms are good and the food is first class. The staff, particularly at reception were excellent and extremely helpful and friendly. My friend and myself will definitely return again in 2009.

The noise isolation on the highwayside is not enough. Take the fort side! The internet acces is expensive(some hotels give it for free!). It was reasonably conveniently located for my visit to relatives. The Mitland is an excellent hotel with all business and leisure facilities on site. In addition, a variety of further leisure facilities are adjacent. Although not used this time the business meeting facilities are extensive at this very pleasant location.The room was big and clean with all facilities needed including tea/coffee, and mini bar. Though weather bad had a beautiful view over lake. There was a bar in hotel and really great selection of food for breakfast. Great hotel with a nice walk of around ten minutes to centre. The curtains could not close completely because one hook was broken. Theroom of the cleaning service was next to our room and they woke me up at7am. You have to pay to park your car in spite of the fact that thehotel is not situated in the city center.The food was only average and although the staff indicated that they were clear about gluten intolerance, the reality was not so reassuring (I was served a sauce which was not gluten free - I spotted it and asked and then they took it away, but they should have picked it up before bringing it to the table because I had already discussed it with the staff). It was a pity that painters starts working very aerly in the morning. We arrived the night before from a flight from Hong Kong. Brakfast started too late for us. The bed was to hard.The swimming pool is not so beatiful.... but I enjoyed it. The Hotel was overbooked, and had tried to move me to another hotel for one night (2 nights were booked). I made a fuss about this matter, and was finally accomodated, but not in the Double room booked, but in a Twin room. I was re-roomed correctly on the second night.The hotel bedrooms are beginning to look jaded. They do not match up to the communal areas of the hotel. The room I had faced the highway and was somewhat noisy, even with thewindows closed. The rooms viewing the lake, I do not know.The high cost to use Internet services is not justifiable now a days!. Difficult to find, location away from town center.payed internet, quite expensive. A bit far from the center but that does not have much importance in Utrecht.not very well connected to the city. The receptionist was not very helpful, we were a group of 4 couples and we confirmed by email before departure that we would be placed all together but one of the couples was at the other side of the hotel and it took some persuading to get them moved and then they were still on a different floor to us. The hot food for breakfast always ran out about half an hour before the end (no more bacon/sausage) so get down early.Room cleaning not always the best -. Parking lot isn't free of charge anymore. 7,5 Euro a day and not sure about a free space !. time availability of the swimming pool - limited due to service. My room was on top of the laundry, it was noisy in the morning.That together with the noise coming from the road was not very confortable.The jacuzzis in the leisure centre were a disappointment in comparison to what I have experienced. I would consider them to be bathtubs with 'whirlpool' function for one person, rather that a jacuzzi which would hold several people. One was out of action (at the time) and the other was quite cold. We booked for 3 nights. the first night we were assigned a totally unacceptable room - adjacent to parking lot entrance / fold down bed / soiled carpet. Upon complaint we were moved to a very acceptable room. Others in our party who had booked through the internet experienced the same. So beware of booking through the internet and complain if you are not satisfied.I have no idea, it was perfect!. The parking costs additional money. By the price for the rooms this is not fair.

How to get to Hotel Mitland Utrecht by car from Breda -

Take the A27 in the direction of "Ring Utrecht (Oost)/Hilversum/Almere". Follow the "Veemarkt" signs at Utrecht. Take the "Veemarkt" turning (exit 30). At the traffic lights at the T-junction, turn left and go under the viaduct. You will pass a "Pico Bello" petrol station on your right. Drive all the way round the first roundabout that you come to, so that you are driving back in the same direction as you came. Immediately after the roundabout (after about 70 metres), take the first right turn. Turn right again at the T-junction. This is the Ariënslaan. After about 300 metres, you will see Hotel Mitland to your left.

From 'S Hertogenbosch -

At the 'Everdingen' crossroads (where the A27 and the A2 split up) 10 kilometres before Utrecht, follow the Utrecht/Almere (A27) signs. Stay on the A27 until you see the "Veemarkt" signs when level with Utrecht. For further directions, see 'From Breda'.

From Amsterdam -

Follow the A2 to the "Oudenrijn" intersection, then follow the "Ring Utrecht" signs, which will bring you on to the A12. Follow the "Ring Utrecht" signs here too. At the "Lunetten" intersection, follow the "Ring Utrecht/Amersfoort/Hilversum (A27) signs. For further directions, see 'From Breda'.

From The Hague -

Follow the A12 as far as the "Lunetten" intersection. Take the "Ring Utrecht/Amersfoort/Hilversum (A27) turning. Once on the A27, follow the "Veemarkt" signs. For further directions, see 'From Breda'.

From Hilversum -

Take the A27 in the direction of Utrecht. Follow the "Veemarkt, Centrum, de Bilt" signs at exit 30 when level with Utrecht. You will pass a "Texaco" petrol station on your right. Drive all the way round the first roundabout so that you are driving back in the same direction as you came. Take the first right turn immediately after the roundabout (after 70 metres). Turn right again at the T-junction. This is the Ariënslaan. After approximately 300 metres, you will see Hotel Mitland to your left.

From Amersfoort -

Take the A28 in the direction of Utrecht. At Utrecht, follow the "Ring Utrecht (Noord)/Veemarkt/Hilversum (A27)". Take the "Veemarkt" turning (exit 30). For further directions, see 'From Breda'.

From Arnhem -

Take the A12 in the direction of "Ring Utrecht (Oost)/Hilversum (A27)". On the A27, follow the "Veemarkt" signs. For further directions, see 'From Breda'.

There is a train leaving for Utrecht Central Station every half hour.
Departure times: 23 and 53 minutes past every hour.
Travel time including change (in Duivendrecht): 35 minutes.

Bus number 57 direction: Bilthoven Station.
