  A very nice place to stay with friendly and especially helpful staff. Breakfast is good, the place is spotless, and it is to very close to the sights, and the train station. Since it is a docked boat it is also very quiet. Don't forget it is a boat cabin what you will get.   We slept on a boat - what else can I say? :) Very friendly staff (father and daughter), they helped us with all our questions. Of course the rooms are a bit small (and so was the bathroom), but this was to be expected on a boat. We really loved that it was so well located, everything is reachable by foot. And the prices are pretty cheap, even the ... what people say » breakfast was included. There was coffee and tea all day. I would highly recommend it for a special Amsterdam-trip. :) - Fantastic location, very friendly staff, and great value for money. Cheapest room with ensuite in Amsterdam! Nice to be on a houseboat, very relaxing.

  Everything was very good. Comfortable rooms, clean and cosy hotel, really not far from railway station. Personal is very friendly, I have only best ratings for their work. - The cleanliness, location & concept. En suite bathroom. Breakfast and the staff. Would definitely come back to Hotelboat Iris.

  We loved the location and the fact that it was a boat! We were in Amsterdam and lived the experience of living in a boat! How cool?! Nemo was right there and you have the best view from the top and its free. The staff was very friendly and gave us some helpful tips and gave us maps. The breakfast was good (coffee, milk, tee, butter, jams, differen... what people say » t kind of breads... The basic) I didn't expect that for the price I payed. The rooms are really small but its enough, especially because you only go t - Even if the room was small, it was well organised so efficient. I was scared I would feel the boat moving since it was windy but it never happened. The people were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was also very good.

  I loved the whole idea of staying on a ship. The location was great as well, just a 5-10 minute walk to the Central Station area. The rate included breakfast which was good, I just wish it started a little earlier because we wanted to get out of the city to head home as early as possible. It is so much fun waking up in the morning with swans knocking on your window (ok, I'm exaggerating here but I did see a photo on the boat that it did happen before).   Amsterdam's a walkable city and the Avanti is just right in the Middle of the City a 7 minutes walk from the Central Station! Made life really easy as I could explore and return at anytime without bothering when the tram and the like would close. Breakfast added too was great as well as the fridge and microwave so we could get up at anytime and make a qui - Brilliant location, excellent facilities, friendly and helpful staff.   It was my first visit to Amsterdam. The boat is next to the centrall station (10 minutes walking) in a really quiet dock! We were living at 4:00 in the morning and they made us an early breakfast. - Very interesting as we'd never stayed on a boat only a big ship!
