  This was our favourite stop on our trip, we stayed for two nights but would have happily stayed longer. Bagdad cafe is set against the gorgeous backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage site: Ait Ben Haddou. It is a boutique hotel with only six rooms and a swimming pool run by a fabulous and welcoming family. Our room was very comfortable with a king ... what people say » size bed and decent bathroom. Breakfast was served in the typical Moroccan style and food was also available for lunch and dinner. As it was our anni - We loved this hotel/hostel and it was a perfect place to stay for the one night we were there in order to see Ait Ben Haddou in the morning. Rose and her husband (and lovely kids - take them Haribo sweets as they can't get them in the area) couldn't have been more welcoming and we had one of the best meals in their restaurant of our entire 3 week trip around Morocco!! The rooms are comfy and clean and the breakfast just kept on coming. Thanks Rose and family, kind regards, Sue and Grahame xx

  I could write in detail about how beautiful and amazing this place is ... I could go on for hours as it is that fantastic .... so instead I will just say - book it! Don't waste your time researching anywhere else because this is the best there is.   Spent 2 nights in this nice hotel near the northern part of the wall (near Bab Bouzamarne gate). Ali and his staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful (he even let us ride with them to Inezgane to catch a bus). Excellent wifi available in the room, a good heater/ac unit and satellite TV (although so many channels to wade through that we soon gave... what people say » up). The beds are very comfortable. He has several bicycles that can be used for free and the included breakfast was terrific (and huge). We had the - We stayed at Riad for three days and were happy with our choice. Staff and owner Ali were extreemely helpful- he even took us in his car around Taroudannt- Atlas mountains, Souss Massa National Park, Tioute. Without his help we wouldn't have seen so much. We regret not to have ordered to be picked up from the airport. Breakfast was delicious and tagine superb.

  We stopped in Taroudant en route to Essaoiura from the desert. As it happened, it was our one cloudy day in two weeks but despite the dank weather we ventured into the Medina city. It's only small, unlike sprawling Marrakech and provides a better reflection of ordinary Moroccan life. The receptionist was very welcoming and - A wonderful Riad with most beautifully and individually decorated and very clean rooms. Based on the very good description and fotos sent by the Riad after booking, it was very easy to find the Riad. All the staff, especially Ben, are very friendly and kind, so we enjoyed our stay very much. Our kids loved the wonderful little pool (which they could use even late at night). We would recommend this Riad to everybody.

  Riad Maia provided an excellent base for our two night stay in Taroudant. The French owners were lovely, though they spoke quite basic English (better than our non-existent French!), we enjoyed their welcoming personalities and good sense of humour. The bedroom and bathroom were perfectly clean, of generous size and well appointed. The riad was am... what people say » azingly quiet and also featured a beautiful roof terrace - it was split over a couple of levels and adorned with cacti and plants, with several chairs - Lovely Riad in the Medina of Taroudant. We were the only guests and had the small room and an adjoining lounge to ourselves. The Riad is tastefully decorated, clean and quiet. Breakfast was good, and nearby there is a nice little restaurant the owners will be pleased to guide you to. The hosts were very friendly and had many helpful tips. Make sure you look at the map the Riad provides by email before you get to Taroudant, or else you may get lost.
