We were a little confused on arrival as the hotel did not appear to have our letsbookhotel.com reservation but on showing our confirmation things were soon put right. The hotel is brilliant, from the cleanliness of our de luxe room, The bedding was superb along with a good views over the Straits. The western Al a carte had great food and very friendly staff also to be found everywhere throughout the hotel. We enjoyed the hotel so much we have rebooked to come back later in our stay. Well done H.

A big thank you from me and my husband. the service and the staff were so friendly. the food was excellent, the aircon fabulous, and the swimming pool was a delight. providing towels and robes after a swim was a great touch. I liked the daily newspaper and the free shuttle bus also. The breakfast is good. Swimming pool is beautiful ( but I didn't have time to try). The view is just ok. maybe because we only at 6F. If you want to have better strait view , pls request higher floor in advance. Managed to get the adjoining that I request due trvlg with my children. Even though was given the rooms quite late but kind enough to offer to the executive lounge and not forgetting the staff r very helpful. The food and the environment, easy parking in the Hotel, very friendly staff, the view from the terrace where we had our breakfast, the freshly-baked cookies we were offered, even before we checked in!. Service staff were meticulous and very attentive. Rooms were spacious and I especially fell in love with the Pickwick Restore Green Tea and Jasmine which I can't find locally. We stayed in their family suite and there's nothing I can say bad. All were perfect and the room is huge of course. Everything is complete and its very comfy. Great breakfast, and very attentive and friendly staff. Very convenient location for tourist attractions without being too noisy in the centre of Melaka. The highly unstable 3-legged coffee table in the room that nearly crushed the foot of my little girl. Such hazard should be removed from all rooms. The breakfast was average. For the first reason, I will not choose to stay in this hotel in future. Swimming pool was a little dirty and had green mould along the grout. should provide wifi, some tibits and a few cans of soft canned drinks daily in rooms for free. Also had bad experience during checked-in time. Rooms wasnt ready although arrived around 4pm. This is my second time similar bad experience with 3 months staying in this hotel but then difficult to get late extended check out time. An expensive hotel like this should at least cater for this expected needs of hotel guess if you want to stand out above your competitors. Location - a short walk from city center, need to cross some back streets to walk under main street. room a bit expensive. The pillows smell of body odour n bedsheets stains spotted.carpet not thoroughly vacuum. slightly out of town, on the wrong side of a motorway, but they make up for that by an excellent free shuttle bus service. The window overlooking the bedroom, I just couldn't understand the purpose to have such window. Wifi is chargeable. Should offer free wifi to guests. The view was impaired by the haze from burning off on Sumatra. The view of the Straits spoilt by reclaimed land and equipment. To reach the centre you have to cross a busy road. the lounge bar relatively expensive-but good. The overcharge for taxi services if you take the taxi from the hotel, it's double the street price. I didn't like the place was a bit far and the road side was very busy and it is dangerous to cross on your own. No jacuzzi for lady. The pool is quite small. Check in was a bit hassle as there was many people around that day. The location is not strategic. + you have to cross a big road.. but thats it ;). the children pool is too small the lounge is too bare, should have nicer seats and decoration. No free Wi-Fi. None. More seating facility in the lobby. Had to always use the chairs of the bar. Small issues in room, early closing of facilities, only paid wifi with weak in -room signal, hard to cross busy road in front of hotel to enter city center. they made a weeding party in the pool with a loudy music until 12pm,they didn't cinsider the customers who lived inside the hotel ,that's so big noisy. Not enough lift Table not enough for breakfast time Should extend breakfast till 11 am.
