The location. If you stayed in the rooms which is facing the sea, oh my its such a wonderful place with a great view of the sea, the yachts and also the nearby islands. Do request for rooms facing the sea if you plan to stay there. Location wise, it's also well placed. It's nearby the town and is also nearby the Langkawi main jetty where you can rent cars and shop there too. The hotel is a 25 minute ( 22KM ) drive from the airport. To be honest, the room is not so great. But it does its job o.
all reviews » Swimming Pool with slides makes the stay memorable for the kids. Kids love the pools. The seaview scenery facing Kuah jetty so breathtaking during sunrise and sunset. Staff are friendly and reliable as well. My mum accidently left her shopping items in the hotel room. The hotel housekeeping staff were honest and kept our items for later collection. The water pressure is good. They even have a big filtered water station (hot and cold) which is really convenience for the hotel guess. Near Kuah t. The location of the hotel was great. There is the nite market which open every nite n is just 5 mins walk from the hotel. The nearby shopping complex is very convenience for us to go shopping at very cheap prices. There is also a nearby seafood restaurant that serve delicious n cheap seafood. There are 2 water slides in the swimming pool n my 5 kids really love playing on them. The hotel staff are very helpful. Very prompt in service. They also gave good recommendations n suggested great places. It's a good resort to choose when you travel with your family. Young children and also the adults will enjoy their out door swimming pool. The see view restaurant really fantastic. We enjoy their dinner with extra ordinary services, foods are delicious. All the staff are very friendly and always ready to give their helping hand to serve you. So, dear traveler if you are planning to visit Langkawi you may try The De Baron Resort and I hope you will agree with my opinion as I mentioned. Liked the appearance of the hotel and the proximity to the sea. Rooms are big, but quite moderate in terms of amenities. Restaurant's nicely located on the beach, but I wouldn't say it serves the best dishes. Forget the car rentals from airport. Walk a few yards and rent a car from the shops near to hotel to get a good bargain. i really like the scenery and the location of De Baron Resort. The place is really suitable for release tense from works and really fun for the kids too except the facilities look like a little bit old but still okay for me... The deluxe room quite big for a medium family. overall its all nice and ok.... I really like the view from the pool, and the garden surrounding it, overlooking the sea.Its exactly as in the pictures. Spacious room, and great shower too. Also, very close to the Jetty and Kuah shopping area (just opposite the main road). Definitely will stay again in this hotel. As a Malaysian, I am satisfied with the facilities available at de baron resort, which is important my family is comfortable with the room, just need to do something on the corridor that smells and hot. Good Location, Sea View Room, good sunset view, Outdoor Swimming pool - My daughter enjoyed in both swimming pool. Surely i recommend for this hotel for stay family with young children. The room at seaview very nice panorama,big and comfortable,value for money and the location not too far from shopping area near Kuah city. Highly recommended. Convenient location with great sea view, cafe open until 01:30am with Astro channel (ideal for those BPL fans), comfortable room with Coway water dispenser. The hallways carpet is a bit dated. They should replace the carpet to tiles or marble flooring. The interior design and the wall painting of the room can be improved. The corridor is quite dirty. With dirty walls n carpets. The hotel should consider giving a new paint job to the corridor walls n change the carpets... The Hotel corridor with damp environment, may be they use exhaust fan to clear the damp air from the corridor. Bathroom toiletries are not good enough for the guest, they may look after this issue. Also the lifts/corridors of the second building are dirty. the cupboard dont have door to close and its not nice when others come to our room and see all the stuff inside the cupboard... the small fridge is broken when u open the door, its fell down a little bit but still can used it... The hallway carpet is having the wet carpet smell. You should remove that carpet, that type is not suitable there. Should change it to different type or just remove it and replace with tiles or etc. This is the only thing I think you should improve. The staff at front desk not enough only 2 peoples to entertain many guest waiting in Q. Staff seem a lack of warmth. should check the air conditioning system in room no 820. The room is a bit dusty - on the dressing table, writing table etc. Needs vacuum. wifi didn't reach our room. Entire set up is old looking but worth a stay nonetheless. Wifi is too weak, on the 1st day of our arrival we were unable to connect to the wifi until the 2nd night of our stay. The carpet is a bit smelly. Corridors looked grim and shabby. 1. The walkway or route to the poolside and seaside is not suitable for wheelchair bound or handicap guest. 2. Separate walkway to the seaside and not going through the poolside. My mother who had to walk with a "walker" was not able to go to the seaside as she was not able to climb the pathway. Breakfast menu -need improvement example traditional langkawi food. I didn't get my room adjacent to one another though have requested through online booking & phone, the rooms were very far from each other, from one end to another end (my room was 256 and the oher one was 226) That was totally unacceptable esp regarding safety and comfortness of my family. - The aircond a little bit dirty, 2hp aircond work like 1hp aircond, need to turn on the fan to circulate the air in the room. rooms were a bit jaded with a funny kinda smell. The adult swimming pool had no steps which made it impossible to use for anyone with mobility problems from injuries, age, etc. for all my 6 day stay lift was dirty had a very bad smell. No float provided for kids who can't swim very well. Shampoo will be given if I ask for it. I stayed in a smelly room(ground floor). All electrical things should be check before customers get in. only have small lift. The resort's breakfast for the guest really disappoint me...my family encountered most of the buffet tray was emptied. We have to wait for for the staff to top-up the trays...we NEVER had this experience from our past holidays... Breakfast was poor Lift is too small. environmen dalam hotel kurang ceria dan menarik. i stayed at a separate building opposite the original resort. The Front Desk boys are good but they lack information about what all festivals, events & tourist facilities available in Langkawi. The waiters need to be trained on English. Bed Design Bathroom without Tub. Staffs are not friendly. We wait more than one hour in the lobby to get the room key. No any person there to help us on our bags. Very limited options in breakfast. Pool was not operated during our stay. Corridor carpets has to be changed(room),increase pool hours. A little bit late for check in,i'm witness some other guest waiting until 3pm..breakfast were quite dissapointed,they need to improvise and the menu seems so limited of choice.. food. (breakfast.) nasi goreng cina was so tasteless. Environment need to tidy up .maintenance of room frequently- to get your smell and air conditioning. The corridor along hotel rooms need to be improved.The carpets along corridor need to be changed.Otherwise just use tiles to replace it. Corridors are smelly.
