Stayed a night at Noodin Mews recently. Excellent in every way. The morning we arrived it is raining and we were able to check-in the room at 10am. The room is nice and Chinese style decor. Welcome drink and fruit plate was served. The staff are very friendly and nice, from the reception to the kitchen staff. It has a lap pool. I did not see anyone using it though. Probably it always rain and the morning (till around 11am) and at night. And by midday, when the sun is out, every one is exploring.

At first, I requested Noordin Mews if they could help me to make an earlier booking to buy a cake for my bf 's birthday on the day we check in. And it came out of courtesy that the hotel offered us a complimentary birthday cake which actually surprised both of us when the cake was ready in the room when we arrived. My bf was touched with the pre- arrangement. The welcome drink was a special chinese drink that was just nice especially. We have stayed in Georgetown many times and Nordin Mews is our favourite hotel yet. We were in room N which we were told was one of the smallest rooms, yet we found it quite large and roomy, and is also furthest from the street so very quiet. The bed was large and comfortable, there was great air conditioning and the bathroom was very clean and modern. There were lots of little vintage knick knacks that gave the room a lot of character. The hotel is in a great location, close to a large shoppin. It is a lovely restored heritage building with just 16 guest rooms. As it is a small hotel, there is a high staff to guests ratio, so they are very attentive, friendly and remember who your are. The breakfast is A La Carte, and it very tasty and large portions, so buffet is not required. My wife is addicted to the jam that came with the toast, which is a side to your meal. Plus, if you are going on a tour, or have to leave for your flight prior to the breakfast serving time, you can organise to. Although the area looked a bit dodgy as it is surrounded by workshops and the likes, once you step into Noordin Mews, you are transported to a place of serene and relaxation. Basic amenities given but all are clean and in working order. And we staff like Jason and Saras to attend to you, you feel very welcomed. We arrived early and they offered us a refreshing glass of juice and a bowl of fruits. We were then given the option to relax by the pool OR to try out a neighbouring restaurant. We had . Loved the staff. I arrived early as the train came in 5:30am. Staff welcomed me warmly and led me to a huge comfy sofa to rest ( offered coffee tea and food) until my room was ready. My train the next evening was not leaving until late, so after checkout, left my luggage at reception and did more sightseeing. When I came back to pick up my bags, I asked to use the bathroom , but instead was led to a fresh room to have a shower and rest at no extra cost ( I did offer) until I was ready to depart. Lovely renovated heritage building, large rooms, nice decor and comfy bed. Pool area was great to sit around, pool was large enough for a quick dip. Staff were fantastic, always accommodating. Brought cold water to the room, after returning from long/hot day out and also brought out tea and cake while we were sitting by the pool. Highly recommend this place! Also, Little Kitchen (a family run restaurant up the road) was recommended by the staff and was delicious!. This hotel is exceptional! The staff were incredible, nothing was too much trouble. We were served complimentary drinks and afternoon tea (without asking for it) while relaxing by the pool. The attention to detail really made the service so good. Turn-down service, switching on lamps and "insect zapper" as well as leaving an orchid on the bed. Just wonderful touches! Highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay again should we return to Georgetown. This was definitely one of the loveliest hotels I have ever stayed at. A real boutique hotel, big and comfortable rooms, staff was very friendly and helpful, paying attention to every little detail. It was so nice to have breakfast with fresh fruits and everything by the pool. The location of the hotel is pretty good as well, a little outside of the center, but everything within easy walking distance. I really enjoyed my stay here very much. This is one of the loveliest places I've stayed. It's small but has everything you need, including a pool. The staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfasts are fresh, well presented and delicious. The centre of Georgetown is within easy walking distance. There's a good choice of places to eat on the doorstep as well as a large shopping mall and cinema less than 5 minutes walk away. I can't wait to go back. 1. We had seen the reviews and photos but it was even better than we imagined in reality! The staff were exceptional, the pool was lovely. The rooms are truly unique - i loved the reto-kitsch Chinese theme running through the hotel. Breakfast choice and quality was brilliant. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Really surprised when coming into the room, much more better than I thought, very clean, comfortable, relax. Excellent location, just behind the 1st Avenue Shopping mall, and free shuttle bus stop. Spent 2 days there, delicious breakfast, service nice and friendly. Definitely would like to go agin. 3 star price with 5 star treatment. Strongly recommend!. Everything. It was was a wonderful hotel, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. I would encourage anyone to stay here. We went on to stay at a big name 5 star resort but in my opinion noordin mews was far and away the best hotel we stayed in on our trip. The design of the hotel is excellent, and I wish all of georgetown had been upgraded to this standard. Excellent air conditioning, highest quality service (staff brought us iced water when we came in looking hot!) and very comfy rooms. Very close to Komtar and many malls. This hotel was our favourite thing about Georgetown. One of the best hotels we have ever staying in. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. Kindness of the staff. At our day of departure the manager offered us to use the room without extra charge for the rest of the day. Staff is very kind. The service was fabulous and very attentive making sure we were comfortable even bringing refreshments to our room after returning from a hot walk and complimentary afternoon tea by the pool after our swim. We spent few days at this hotel and we were very happy by the room design (so pretty), the comfort, the quality of the breakfast and the kindness of the staff. Its location its very convenient because closed to the bus station and the downtown but in a small street very quiet. Beautifully designed hotel with very accommodating staff and excellent value for an ultra-chic hotel with excellent service. Great service (afternoon tea, cold glass of water upon return of your outing), very pretty and cosy, clean. just perfect!. The sheets were not 100% cotton and the pillows a little lumpy. Not the worst things in the world, but a little annoying. Nothing really. There were a few tiles missing from the shower that came off. This is only to let the staff know so as to maintain their already excellent standards. Wifi was almost impossible to reach in the rooms and had to move to the lounge and reception area. Even though it was close to the bus station it was quite far away from Little India and other restaurant areas. Minor issue that the wifi did not work in our room, but it was much nicer to sit by the pool where it worked perfectly. We were happy with the location but for some it may be a little far from the historic centre (15 mins walk). Again highly recommend this hotel!. 1. Location is strategic but a bit quite at night. Its quite dangerous to walk around at night. 2. Difficult to get taxi. That we couldn't stay longer!. Expect more quantity of breakfast. It was a little far from the centre, not that far but a good 10 min walk. They don't serve cocktails, only beer :(. Can be noisy due to atrium in the middle which has both the pool and eating area. Also there is no minibar. Bit difficult to get in and out of bed as in alcove and had to get out at the bottom. None. Nothing at all. Perhaps the street in which Noordin Mews is located but you get used to it very fast. Nothing to not like about this hotel. Except for the mosquitoes, there is nothing I didnt like here. Absolutely nothing to quibble about. Wifi weak in rooms (we had room M). Some small tiles in bathroom need redoing. Our stay was too short . Notre sejour fut trop court. On a hate de revenir !. the ONLY thing we donot like is the hard beds but this doesnot stop us from enjoying our time there. the TV was at an odd angle and was difficult to see from the bed. we asked for the hotel to arrange a massage for us but there was some confusion about where and how - this was just miscommunication, but the massage itself was very good. The bathroom was lovely but would greatly benefit from ventilation as there were some mould on the wood work. However this is not a major issue. Parking was a bit makeshift. Hotel will look nicer when surroundings are also renovated or converted from present state. Nothing on the hotel or the staff - location Wise a bit far off the main sights of Georgetown. None, perfect stay. Location is just outside the core of the heritage city center, I was expecting it to be in the middle of it. No bath in bathroom, no freezer in the room.simple breakfast. We found trace of ants on the day-bed. Nothing. None! Everything is good!. Nothing. parking spaces are very limited. not a place for kids since kids being kids will never be able to keep the noise level low and not disturbing other guests. None. Not much, but location could be better (slightly run down area) and beds rather hard.
