The staffs are very friendly. The check in time was 2pm, but i arrived at 1.30pm and i was allowed to check in. I requested for late check out at 1pm, and there was no extra charge. I got my bed preference (1 large bed) There are soap, shampoo, fridge, hangers, 2 complimentary bottle of water, 2 cups, tissue box. Across the road (Lorong Baru), there are food for dinner/supper. Less than 5 minutes walk, there is 2 restaurants for supper that opens 6pm-4am. Town Steamboat Restaurant, Lorong Selam.
all reviews » We stayed in the hotel for 6 nights for a get-a-way retreat and hotel location is very convenient, the rapid bus terminal (Komtar) is within walking distance.Wifi is free but the first few days, had some problem with connectivity. Hotel staff are helpful & friendly. Bedsheets are changed daily, rooms should be vaccumed daily. Special thanks to Casey Wong for the prompt action & assistance rendered to expedite for the change of room within an hour of checked in. For showing, another alte. Supposed to 2pm check in hotels, but they said to wait an hour before you can check in. Then automatically upgraded the room to the ward, the good feedback.Near the hawker center, easy to find food, and is also close to the shopping center and the bus station. As well as hotels and travel agencies to cooperate can arrange for you to travel, can use travel car get to your destination, provide great convenience. hotel was quite central as the name of the hotel suggested very close to a night market which close in Wednesdays. Family room was ver spacious and i think a family of 4 should not be a problem but booking says 3 adult so maybe u need to sneak the othet in haha breakfast is for 3 but if u r in georgetown food is yr least worry every other corner has food!. Laundry shop just 3 shophouses away, they offer a reasonable price, one kg at $4.50 myr. If your opt for express, then is $7 myr. Location was good - walking distance from KOMTAR bus terminus. Lot of convenience shops around, too. Rooms were good as the hotel was pretty new. Some of the staff were really responsive, courteous and attentive to our needs. Highlighted to cafe staff, that the croissants was not fresh, F&B manager shd checked on the plates & cups. Children under 7 yrs old, should have not been charged for the breakfast buffet as they only consumed limited items (cereals & orange juice). The road in front of the hotel, close to the city center, very noisy at night, sound system needs to be improved. Breakfast was not fantastic, if they offer a option without breakfast with further saving that would be great!. Rooms lacked sound proofing. We could hear dogs barking, music from some night club nearby and traffic noise every night. Housekeping could be better. They reserve a much higher amount from credit card than the cost of accommodation, as 'guarantee' - this should be mentioned at booking time. I had 700 ringgits blocked on my cc for many days after, they don't release it immediately after checkout and payment. Aircon controls didn't work but was ok with preconfigured setting. Doormat was not provided near bathroom. No option to dry our feet after shower. Have to pay for everything else, which is to be expected as it is a budget hotel and they make money by charging for pickup-drop, etc... Prices for additional services is very high. They were charging RM 5 for a small sized water bottle. Better option is to buy from shops nearby. There were lots of strays dogs near the hotel vicinity. Hotel toilets can do with some improvements. Bathroom shower is a bit weird since there is no partition on the floor to prevent water from spreading in the whole bathroom floor. However I found this to be normal in most Malaysian hotels and it's not a big deal. Breakfast area is congested. Hotel has high occupancy rate and have problem coping with the flow of guests going in for breakfast. Some parts of the floor in our room was 'broken'. None. Noise from the next room and in the hallway was loud enough for us to hear in the morning. Street dogs were seen around the hotel. Did not feel safe and clean. Hard beds as are common in Asia. Parking is limited and counter staff which are from philippines should be better trained to provide appropriate responses when posed with queries. Service Staffs need to improve because they are not friendly. Complimentary breakfast almost the same everyday and limited variety. no gym facilities. Toilet could be better designed. Only 1 small lift to service all rooms. Nothing to complain about. Small room, small breakfast venue, mediocre breakfast taste, limited parking spot. Room sound proof needs improvement ! The room door , when closing causing loud banging sound , definately needs to rectify . Pls give it a priority !. Breakfast was a bit ordinary. They have a rooftop bar but is is not open - why? The shower area should have partition in order to avoid water everywhere. I am staying in Room 809. There was no adaptor to borrow for a european system. Parking spaces limited. Very Busy with tours. Mostly large groups of asian bus tours. Only a few caucasian people in building and no real public meeting place. Room for breakfast too small to cater for all guests, breakfast buffet very limited, wifi reception in rooms is poor. Windows that look onto nothing but a internal space are horrible, and really should be on the web site.... Because the staff were so good and changed my room for the second night it was good, but I am claustrophobic so cannot deal with no view... Room a bit small but it just nice too!. philipines crews(front desk), english not very good, not very friendly. The way to get to the hotel is kind of like a maze. Only a few parking lot in front og the hotel. Extra parking area available opposite the hotel, but not in good condition. Hard to find parking when peak season. breakfast place is too small and messy. Have to wait for table during breakfast as the cafe quite small. Room layout can be better. Not many TV channels.
