Sure, the room was small by Western standards, but it was a normal and typically furnished Japanese style room, although not luxurious. We had no problems at all with space, and the small bathroom and toilet were perfectly adequate. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, and the BIG plus with this hotel is its proximity to Keisei Ueno station and thus the Skyliner directly to and from Narita airport. It is also very near Ueno JR mainline station for the skinkansen service to several .
all reviews » The hotel is really good for this price. Excellent localisation - close to Ueno Station with two metro line and JR train. Very convinent access to Narita Airport. The staff is friendly and helpful, englishspeaking. The varied japanese breakfasts every day - good start for expirience with the japanese cousine. The room are not very big, but enough, with clean bathroom. There is wi-fi but only in the lobby. Just beside is Lawson market and there is vending machine in the lobby. It is very good ch. Excellent location near Ueno station on a quiet street. The area is not at all touristy and the restaurants nearby offer good and cheap food for local taste. Some previous comments mentioned that it is allowed to smoke in the lobby but I did not see any smokers during my stay. Very nice service, staff are helpful and good in English. You have to leave your key at the front desk everytime you leave. ALthough they do remember you and give it straight back. Staff not so friendly. Quite expensive for a 3 star hotel but location is good, near market and train station/subway. Japanese style room was smell and small. A bit old and aged. The small size of the bed for 2 people.
