We arrived in the wrong place (San Luca Hotel)....but the owner called and the person from San Luca BB came to meet us and escort us to the B&B (really kind and above the level of what is required). As we arrived early in the morning, I wrote and they said they would be happy to even have us check in early. At the B&B we were offered coffee and croissants while they prepared the room. Overall the service was great. The location is central and ideal. There is an Punto Simply (grocery) on.
all reviews » Location, location, location. You're literally minutes away from both the Rialto and Piazza San Marco. Yet, once you get inside the B&B, it feels more like home and the touristy/hectic buzz of the outside feels farther away. Service was excellent. If you can't be shown to your room yet (ie. you show up early) or you have a later flight to catch, they'll let you leave your bags with no hassle and will even serve you coffee in the common area. This B&B is very centrally located. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We had the top floor room with our very own roof top balcony! We did have a little difficulty finding it. Take the water bus to the Rialto Bridge. Walk along the water, with the Grand canal on your right. Turn left at Calle Cavalli and right once you reach a small square (San Luca). The door is down the first small side street on the right. The owners have operating this lovely hotel which is decorated well and comfortable. The location was perfect to reach everywhere easily. The breakfast was limited but fare enough and served quality foods. The price and quality ratio is quite good relatively. We thank "letsbookhotel.com" also for including such nice hotels in its list. 1. San Luca is in a quiet spot in the San Marco area. It's centrally located - pretty near to Rialto bridge and San Marco square, but it's nice to retreat to a quiet spot. 2. There's a supermarket less than 1 minute away! You can see it from the exit of San Luca. 3. Attentive and generous serving at breakfast. This is a lovely little spot to stay in Venice. Not cheap but modern, comfortable, quiet, and well staffed. The location is great, but it is difficult to find the first time. Breakfast is good. The room was clean, comfortable and modern. The staff were very accommodating to our needs. It was a little bit diffcult to find the hotel. We were staying on the highest floor, so there's a lot of climbing to be done. But that's to be expected in Venice, I guess. You can request for a lower floor unit if you wish. It would be nice to have wifi in the room. Some staff don't speak English very well, so it hindered communication. Wifi only in the lobby/breakfast area. Small & slow lift... shower pressure was very bad with the water temperature frm cold to hot frequently which can be quitw irritating.. + the water stays stagnant for quite some time at the shower area. The address on booking is wrong. It took us an hour to find this place. The room we booked were really small. So we upgraded and it was expensive. Plus no lift, this killed me. Wifi no available in room. No elevator Room Air conditioner did work as we expected. Noise. no bar. It is difficult to find and there is no wifi in the room.
