The location was excellent. Just a few minutes from 2 vaporetto stations (waterbuses). Getting around was so easy, whether by vaporetto or walking, with something new around every corner. Carlo, our host was a wonderful gentleman, speaking excellent English and very helpful with all our questions. Breakfast was very good, with plenty to eat. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet at night. Nearby are lovely shops and restaurants, we can highly recommend San Trovano Taverna, for great food and p.
all reviews » Carlo was fabulous-- we discovered a problem with our airline tickets at the airport which meant an additional night in Venice (even though we'd already checked out of the hotel that morning), Carlo graciously said he he could put us up for the night saying, "it will be nice to visit with you again." He was also helpful with finding an open pharmacy on a Sunday and answering our many questions. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had a large room with our own courtyard. It was a very nice atmosphere and was reasonably priced compared to other hotels we searched. Aweosome location close to all the major attractions, we didnt have to use a water taxi once when sightseeing! Was very clean and tidy. The room in which we stayed was awesome. The staffs were friendly, especially the person who runs the place. He really went out-of-the-way to help us in finding the address of another hotel, where my brother was staying. He was totally helpful throughout our entire stay. Manager Carlos was extremely helpful with directions , ensuring out accommodations met/exceeded our needs. He went out of his way to find a dentist when in suddenly needed one. We were very pleased withnour stay & would gladly stay again!. The location was very good. The sights - St Mark's, the Rialto, Accademia and the station were clearly signed and within easy reach. The facilities were very good. Breakfast was adequate. Carlo was very helpful at giving information. The manager was fantastic - very helpful and spoke excellent English. Location was perfect - in the middle of the city. It was easy to take in all the sites and events. The hotel provide wine in the room for a reasonable 6 Euro. He told us a tale of a storm and electrical fault...I Feel that this was a tall story and that the aircon had been out for some time! He did provide a fan. The mosquito blinds were broken on. The location, the decoration. Loved everything. Nothing. Nothing really... But Yes! The Breakfast was just o-k-a-y. It could have contained some nutritious stuffs (i.e.) eggs and baked beans.. The small section of street was having construction to the bricks, exterior doors were unappealing & deceiving of how well maintained the hotel really was. Hard to find at first but I suspect that was our own fault for not taking more care with instructions!. We stayed in the Annex section of the hotel. Direclty below our room was a very nice, cozy restaurant. In fact we ate there one night although the room noise was as if we were in the restaurant itself until closure - around 11:30-12:00am. The breakfast selection was somewhat sparse but acceptable considering the price of the room. Leaving !!. Breakfast can be improved. Our room had a "private" bathroom which was accessed across a corridor used by another room. The floor in the bedroom was very dusty, making it uncomfortable to go barefoot. The bathroom smelled from time to time, but bearable. There is no sign to indicate the hotel from the street, need to look for house/apartment number. The fact that I had already entered my credit card number online but still had to pay at the hotel. Also, price on letsbookhotel.com was in dollars, but we had to pay in euros. Big financial error!. Niente/Nothing. The maid was awful. The room was very cold, and there was no heat at this time of the year. Noisy until midnight Breakfast. Breakfast! Quite frankly...don't bother...it was terrible...an Italian who cannot make coffee!!!!!. The mosquitos, air conditioning wasnt in function at the begining, first night was a horror, a bit expensive for the service provide. mosquito in , cleanness was poor, narrow batthroom.
