Excellent location--very close to Campo. We had the two room suite which was very roomy for an Italian hotel. The double bedded room was a corner room with great views out of both windows, one of Torre del Mangia. Nice breakfast brought on tray to our room as it was a bit cool for garden breakfast. Would have enjoyed another cup of cappucino, however, but there was no way to obtain one. Everything. The location is right in the heart of the mountain village. Staff were extremely helpful and spoke fluent English. Breakfast was brought to my room at the specific time I asked for. The room was decorated beautifully and had a very nice view overlooking the city.

Fabulous decor - medieval theme presented. the garden, the breakfast in the room. located in city center, the hotel is bigger than expected, they have few rest areas (living rooms) where it is also possible to read, they havea little garden thing that in the city center is rare to find. If you come by car you should park (paid) outside de city walls or find an unpaid place, then you should walk only 8 minutes to the hotel. Late check-in was possible. Pleasantly decorated spacious rooms with fairly comfortable beds and really nice breakfast. Were upgraded (booked 2 rooms - got a 2 bedroom-2 bathroom suite with living room) ! Close to Leaning Tower.The painted ceilings were gorgeous, and the hotel was lovely. The breakfast in bed was a nice treat and very decadent. Receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. Location of the hotel is brilliant, and Siena is a beautiful town. Even though we knew it would be closing, having the reception closed from 1-3:30 pm was inconvenient for us as we arrived in Siena just after 1 and so had to carry our luggage with us until later in the afternoon. Bathroom with larger room was fine but bath with single bed room had shower and toilet in same room which was rather weird.I liked everything about it!!!!!. Not near to the station, but near to the center. No lift. The hotel has two entrances over one block- check-in at one side, access to rooms via steep spiral staircase, or go around to the other street access and you are three blocks up. Best to check out where your room is located before lugging luggage and wrenching knees. small bathroom but it was OK. The hydromassage parts of the shower gushed water out of the cabin and flooded the (not travertine but tile) bathroom so it could only be used as an ordinary shower cabin. The pool had not been prepared (= cleaned) for bathing although it was filled up. Beware of parking: the police ticketing is made by cameras, located just before arriving to the hotel !. No although there are steps to the rooms and quite a steep hill up to the Hotel which may not be suitable for very elderly people. A lot of steps- not good for disabled, bit noisy neighbourhood ( near the university ). No elevators, small steep steps. One bathroom had shower and toilet all in one-interesting experience. The 2 addresses for the hotel was confusing. One address was to the top floor on one street, the other address was on the bottom floor on the other street. Top floor address not easily found or marked. It was incredibly difficult to find and the two addresess on the web booking form were most confusing.Noisy. A map showing how to get there by bus and frequency of bus service would be helpful. We couldn't check out before 9 am as the reception was unattended. There were 2 single beds put together instead of a queen bed. It rained heavily all night during our stay and we had to use bath towels to stop flooding of the room.the only problem was I wan't given a key for the outside door so I was locked out until someone came back after dinner, gave me a bit of a scare though. Had to climb up too many stairs from office. No choice for breakfast.The bathroom was cramped and scruffy (but clean). The hotel is a little confusing to find, as it has entrances on two streets. Had to leave to catch a bus at 9 and there was no-one there to check out, but the owner came specially and rescued me.Breakfasts in room (no other option) rather minimal. At night the surroundings were very noisy, it was a hot night and we had to sleep with the windows open but it seemed like we were in the middle of a concert!! The bathroom was not great, the washing basin leaked and it was small.the fact that there are two entrances to the hotel is confusing and very inconvenient as you have to run back and forth looking for the receptionist; the reception is closed for several hours in the afternoon, so if you arrive during that time, there is noone to check you in and you have to wait (they may leave a key for you at the nearby trattoria though, but the trattoria also closes at a certai. Shower room in need of refurbishment. Very small shower cubicle door opening, loose wc seat, cracked wash basin.The coffee. The bathrooms were pretty bad. A bit moldy, no hot water, pipes in the shower that leaked.This hotel is built on three floors and is a labyrinth of rooms set between two adjacent streets. If you have trouble with steps this not the hotel for you. There did not appear to be a lift. Breakfast was served in the room and did not amount to much. the bathing area is a little bit small, its quite hard to find the hotel. No lift. Coffee at breakfast not great. Bathroom very cramped. Be aware that there are 2 entrances to the hotel, but reception is only at one of them (on Dupre) also reception is only there betwen 9-1 and 3.30 -7. There are 3 floors of a difference between the entrances, so it is not advisable if you have a problem with stairs or have heavy luggage.Although the photos show a beautiful hotel this is only the communal areas - we were very dissapointed with the poor qualitly and cleanliness of the room.
