We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It is located right next to the Termini Railway Station, so it's a great location for those who wish to see more of Italy than just Rome. It is also in close proximity to the Colosseum and Forum Romanum. Fresh towels and cleaning service on a daily basis. The room was generally very clean and comfortable, so was the bathroom. Staff do not speak very good English but as we didn't really have any problems to deal with, it did not bother us. They are extrem.
all reviews » This place is right by the Termini train station making arriving to and from the airport super easy. It is also walkable to the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Close to the metro, this makes access to other parts of Rome easy as well. We were pleasantly surprised by the neighborhood as I am always somewhat concerned when I stay near a train station. However, this was not an issue as the neighborhood was fine and actually far less touristy than others in Rome. Room was clean and staff friendly, . Very hospitable, polite and helpful staff; we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and chocolate; 24-hour reception; excellent location of the hotel - central, safe, close to various kinds of transport, shops and nice restaurants, within walking distance from not a few landmarks; newly renovated and clean rooms, equipped with a hair-drier, safe-deposit box, TV set, refrigerator and air-conditioner; towels are changed every day; I would definitely stay at Hotel Pelliccioni again. Staff was friendly (Bruno was super helpful) place was clean, location was great! Main Train, metro, and bus station within walking distance (public transportation was super easy I used it to get to colosseum area, Vatican City, catacombs, and airport (all in different directions)). Did get a free bottle of wine, two water bottles and 5 chocolates upon request. Rather thin walls, so if you're as "lucky" as we were to have a group of loud Italians next door, you'll hear every word they say. You have to take the metro if you wish to visit the vatican. Wifi did not work for me. They charged for AC and the room was warm. It was very noisy outside due to its location in downtown Rome. They did not have towels, instead they provided something that looked like sheets or curtains to dry off so I recommend bringing your own towels. They did not speak good english but we were still able to understand each other somewhat. The bed was a little hard. Facilities for making coffee or tea in the room would be appreciated. No breakfast included. Needed a family room which was a noisy and suffer from food fumes. The room is a bit small. We didn't get the wine, water and chocolate as advertised (no big deal). You might also want to bring your own towels because theirs are made of sheets and they aren't enough absorbent (again no big deal)!. Wifi was not working. Breakfast room was being repaired, so had to arrange for own breakfast outside. No wine, water and chocolate upon arrival, as advertised. rooms were definately not soundproof! The towels were made out of old sheets which aren't quite absorbent. No air con, very hit at night, room close to reception so very loud and uncomfortable bed. Not the comfiest bed. air conditioning require extra charges and it was relatively noisy at night. An elevator didn't work so we have to take our large luggages down by ourselves.
