Location - so close to the tower and bars and restaurants. The gentleman on duty was great - under pressure as everyone checking in at once but very helpful and accommodating. Fans in the rooms great - made for great nights sleep. We knew there was no restaurant and wanted to eat out so that was not a problem for us. Also only 10 minutes from the airport. Very nice english speaking staff/owner! It was possible to check in even at night (until midnight), not even a minute from Pisa tower! The hotel is in a small street with no trafic and noise! Possible to park a car for about 8 EUR day just next to the hotel (we parked at the place where our car could watch Pisa tower the whole parking time :)).
all reviews » Location is pretty much unbeatable. About 1 minute walk from the tower and close to the bar/restaurant area of town. Also great if you are arriving late into Pisa as they allow check in till midnight. Room was nice and comfortable without being anything spectacular.The gentleman at reception was also very nice and helpful. Nice family run hotel with the Italian experience. Close to the Tower and museums. Different from the American experience, but neat. No elevator, but had first floor room, with bottom floor being floor zero. Stair cllimb wasn't bad. Neat little reatraurants toward the university with reasonable prices. Great location and the hosts were ever so friendly and helpful. They have put a lot of effort into making sure you are okay and have everything you need - even have a very helpful, hand drawn map of Pisa burnt into wood at the entrance the owner did himself!. It is next to the main monuments and good restaurants are in the vicinity, you can reach everything in 2 mins walk. The rooms are clean and modern, the design is nice despite it is a one star hotel. The staff is very friendly and good in english. Great location, very helpful young woman reception staff who gave us parking help and restaurant, walking and gelatto recommendations. Double sized family friendly room on top floor (5 flights up) was clean, spacious, quiet and cool. Everything was very clean. The toilets and showers that had to be shared with other guest seemed to have been cleaned every time we entered. The personel was very friendly and service orientated. Shower did not drain properly to the extent that only two out of the four of us were able to have showers before the bathroom was flooded and we had to use towels to prevent the water coming into the bedroom. Driving instructions not as easy to follow as we expected and had to stop and get out to find on foot due to one way restrictions not recognised by sat nav. Hard to find it as it was in a small street. But this is just to let everybody know to look carefuly :) Otherwise this was advantage as there was completely no noise!. The towels were glorified bedsheets. Bit noisy (thin walls). The doors were always open but there wasn't always a receptionist next to the entrance so everybody could have walked in and out without beeing even noticed. Shame to have to share a bathroom but was expected. Breakfast not included but there was a restaurant but it wasnt pointed out whether we could pay for a breakfast. Nothing negative to say!. The only thing was a smallish room. But it was not too small and the size was not bad for the price. No kettle in the room to make a cup of tea. As the room was at the 4th floor I missed an elevator. Difficult for handicapped or elderly people. Nothing. They haven't got refrigerator. The hotel can be a bit noisy if other guests are loud. I liked everything. Insects around the computer area because it occupied a shady corner, the bites caused discomfort. Small room, but nice design. the room had A fan but as it was so warm aircon would have been A bonus. Not unexpected given the building age, but be aware there's no elevator (we were four floors up). Nothing. Insects have bitten us at night. Shower, dark at night, no breakfast. Walking up the two flights of stairs with luggage.
