  Excellent hotel. Booked it from the reviews on line and I can't praise the hotel and staff enough. We paid a little extra for a room overlooking the lake and the view was well worth it. Very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Ferry stop to all the touristy places was right outside the hotel and there are restaurants and bars nearby. Parking is available about a 5 min walk away for a small charge. - Great location, around the corner from the lakefront promenade with its luxury hotels, including the 150 year old Grand Hotel des Iles Borromees, of Hemingway (A Farewell to Arms) fame. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Giuseppe, who greeted us on arrival and daily with a warm smile and two-handed handshake. A short walk to everything, downtown shopping and restaurants and the ferries to the islands in the lake. Generous breakfast buffet with home-baked cakes and pastries.

  Beautiful view over Lake Como. The hotel room was well appointed and had a spectacular view up and down the Lake. The food and staff in the restaurant were of a high standard and very helpful. Front desk staff even drove us around when it started to rain.   I was very impressed by this hotel! I moved from one of the 4 starhotels in the area to here to save some money and found this wasactually much better! The room we got was huge, had a bath, provided areally good breakfast included with the room and at the time wassubstantially cheaper! The view from the room is breathtaking and the service was very good and friendly. We also liked the breakfast. Overall - excellent choice for a stay in lake Magiore.

Also some very good wine bars in Intra as well as good restaurants and pizza places for dinner.
