  A rare gem in the sicilian country side, situated in a valley on the north side of mount Etna with spectacular 360 degrees view. If you are looking for a place which combines the sicilian cultural he - This is a unique property - an old manor house, fully restored, a producing vineyard and an excellent estate wine that is well worth the modest price. The property is nothing less than dramatic - indeed it looks like a movie set, and could have been, for that matter since, as one of the owners told me, during WWII it was commandeered as a German military hospital, and subsequently taken over by the Allies for the same purpose.   Great place. A bit off the beaten track, but fantastic location with view to Mt Etna. Food was great value for money. Wine was made on the property. Breakfast was the best we had in all of Sicily.
