The staff was wonderful and the location was very convenient for us as we arrived by train and left on the bus to Malpensa which is at the train station. Our room was clean and quiet. It was a quality hotel and we think that the reason it went from 5 to 4 stars is that the rooms are a little small, but the marble, carpeting, and fabrics were lovely. Break- fast was very good. Very close to Stazione Centrale , easy acces for shuttle bus-connection with the airport; well linked by metro with the city center ; very comfortable bad , room well heated , very clean and very quite; over expectation the breakfast , taking into consideration the standard for breakfast in Italy.

The location of the hotel is very good - very close to subway stop and just across the street of a tram stop. The central railway station is also very close which is nice if you are about to make a trip outside Milan or if you are arriving at Bergamo airport. The hotel was a bit old-looking and the doors are still key locked (not card) but its still nice and posses good features. it is ok. to pay for a wireless connection but It would be great if it had a free internet point at the lobby for emergency uses.The street is ok (it's also the street to the central station) but some of the streets in the neighbourhood are a bit a mass. Lifts are small and difficult to access with luggage when large parties checking out. Had to wait five times because of full lifts and then circumvent by taking lift up to come down again - from floor 2. Water not replaced in refrigerator by housekeeping.Never ask for any Italian stuff for something right before the beginning of a football game!!!. furnishings in room appear a little tried and worn. We had to wait in a queue for about 20 minutes almost evey morning to have a seat in the breakfast tables.not what someone would expect from a 4 stars hotel...also room service menu was very poor.

From the Tangenziale Est (A51), 2 km:
- Exit at junction 8 (Lambrate) and follow signs for the city centre.
- Continue along Via Rombon and then Via Nicola Antonio Porpora.
- When you reach Piazzale Loreto, turn onto Corso Buenos Aires.
- Take the 2nd major right turn onto Via Giovan Battista Pergolesi.
- When you reach Piazza Caiazzo, take the 1st right onto Via Andrea Doria, where the hotel is situated.

By Train:
From Stazione Centrale (300 metres):
If you do not wish to walk, then taxis are readily available from the station. Alternatively, take the Underground (line 2) towards C.Gobba/Gessate/Cologno Nord. Get off one stop later at Caiazzo, which is around 30 metres from the hotel.

Please note that Loreto Square Underground station is also close to the hotel (50 metres).
