The owners Nadine and Giovanni were so helpful with everything from adapter plugs to bookings for all the local attractions. We arrived very late at night and had difficulty getting a taxi and when i phoed the hotel to explain we were going to be delayed they came and picked us up. A very pleasant experience all round. I would highly recommend this hotel. It would cater for all kinds of travellers.
all reviews » This was a super little hotel tucked away in a lnarrow back street and extremely quiet considering it was only a minutes walk to San Lorenzo. Room was spotlessly clean commodious and comfortable. Breakfast could have done with some croissants but apart from that a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Very nice quiet location. Short walking distance to train station and all the main sites. Great dining options within one block. Large bathroom with tub. Free wired internet access in room. Very friendly and helpful desk staff. This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. I would have like to have seen cereals and fruit at breakfast thought the breakfast a little poor,. Breakfast was typical Italian style- so a bit basic but what I expected. The Scudieri around the corner by the Duomo has great coffee and great pasteries. Also, best to bring you own shampoo and conditioner to this hotel. Should have been a little better, should consider introducing cold cuts into the breakfast.Noise from the neighbor-rooms can be heard, this is no problem if yourneighbors are well educated as they will not make much noise. Florence Santa Maria Novella train station is located about 400 metres from the hotel. Leave the station by the exit near the pharmacy. Go straight on and cross the street at the traffic lights, then turn right towards McDonalds. Continue straight on and cross Largo Alinari. At the next corner you will reach Piazza dell'Unità Italiana. Turn left into Via Sant'Antonino, then continue until the end of the street, where you will see the door of the hotel. (During your walk you will pass the Mercato Centrale market).

By Car:
- Head into Florence, following the signs to Santa Maria Novella train station.
- Continue along Via S. Caterina d'Alessandria until you see a square on your right (Piazza Indipendenza).
- Turn left at the traffic lights (always blinking) into Via Guelfa.
- Follow the street and take the third street on your right-hand side (Via Ginori).
- Turn right into the next street, Via Taddea.
