  On arrival, we were welcomed with smiles and Maria who spoke several languages. For a small hotel which was owned and run by mother Carmen and her two daughters Sabrena and Pierangela, it has been thoughtfully put together, and the rooms were clean and modern. We felt very much part of their family. They recommended good restaurants - My husband and our 3 kids just stayed at the Hotel Ancora Riviera and had a wonderful time! The staff is great and always available to help out in any way needed. We especially liked Fausto who always had a smile on his face and was extremely friendly and very helpful in giving us sight seeing information and restaurant recommendations. We truly enjoyed the Sporting Yacht Club located behind the hotel which hotel guests have access to for free. The pool was amazing and they have a fitness room

  We had some great experiences there with the locals and the staff was very accommodating in guiding us through maps to find our destination. It helped that the owner and staff was able to speak english enough to understand us Americans. Of course it was rather comical when my husband and I saw the sign that said lift and assumed that was what they... what people say » meant we were supposed to put our luggage on talk about laughter as it started up the belt along side the hotel, lets just say that's not what they m - Friendly staff, good location (near beach, railway/road) easy to go both North (Genova, Portifino) and South (Cinque Terre). Although the railway was only 3-400 m from the hotel, noise was never a problem. Good parking facilities, reasonable breakfast.

  Hotel is in a fantastic location with easy access to the train to explore the area. There are many bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Very friendly owner gave us all a bottle of Limoncello as a parting gift....nice touch. Plenty of choice for breakfast, lovely coffee. Nice clean rooms. couldn't ask for more!

They were always polite and friendly. We were pleased by the trips by boat offered by the hotel.
