Half board service is available and includes: a large buffet breakfast with homemade cakes, omelettes, cheese and fresh organic products.

During winter time, once a week La Genzianella offers a candle-lit traditional dinner. The other evenings you will enjoy appetizers, vegetables and salad buffet, a choice of 4 first courses, 4 second courses, and last but not least, one of many tempting desserts.

La Genzianella is an official Bike Hotel Alta Rezia and offers special bike facilities for bikers such as safe storage room and free laundry service for sportswear. Special meals for breakfast are available on request.

Please note that the Stelvio Mountain Pass is closed from November until the end of May. This means that you will have to take a longer alternative route to reach the property.

Bormio, a village with 4100 inhabitants, is an Alpine village with a rich history, monument, museums and cultural events. The suggestive atmosphere invite the people to meet up for a relaxing afternoon in the boutiques and in the bars of the centre. The relax is also assured. From the termal water spring , discovered more than 2000 years ago from the Romans, flows water from 35 to 43 degrees. The National Park will let you discover the real feeling of the Alp both with your Mountain Bike or simply walking.

The bedrooms are nicely decorated in pine-wood and wooden floors and combine tradition and functionality.

From the South/Centre:
Via Milan:
Follow the indication for Lecco.
Take the road SS 36 Milano-Lecco-Colico, and then from Colico the SS 38 in the direction of Morbegno-Sondrio-Tirano up to Bormio. Once you get in Bormio follow indications to cableway zone (Funivia),
Via Funivia, Hotel la Genzianella.

Coming from Zernez, in the Swiss Engadin, go through the Tunnel Passo del Gallo (Galleria della Drossa).

Every day 8 trains leave from Milan Main Station to reach Tirano (the closest train station).
The travel lasts more or less 2 hours and a half. Right in front of the train station you can catch a bus for Bormio.
There is usually one after every train.
