I liked the space and facilities in the apartment. I thought it was very well situated between the city and beach. I also thought it was convenient for local shops and bus stop. The bar food looked great unfortunately we didn't have the time to sample it, hopefully we will next time. I have not clicked either the 'clean' or the 'comfort' circles above, but I would like to say that the appartment was both clean and very comfortable, but the air was sickly.
all reviews » Situated about 10 mins from city centre and 5 mins from Salthill this was a nice, 2 bedroom apartment to stay in. Clean and roomy, it's a good location for a Galway stay.. Good location, public transport and shopping nearby, good sized rooms and comfy beds. Great food and friendly helpful staff. Spacious apartment. Beds comfortable. Hot water. Breakfast nice. Receptionist was friendly. Good parking area. Good location. appartments were in good location close to anywhere u needed to go.the appartments had everything u needed and very clean. great location, @ walking distance from salt hill beach,attached restaurant and pub is great..all amenities are nearby.. The location was good, the bus stop was right outside the front door which made it very easy to visit Galway shopping/bar/entertainment area. The taxi fare one way is 10euro. Everything required for self catering was supplied. Clean, spacious, comfortable. Big bedrooms and lounge. Initially size of apartment. Bedrooms clean. Nothing. Thought the cooker wasn't working very well. The decor could have been re-done as it was a little shabby and light fittings were quite dirty. The air freshner was overpoweringly strong - it gave me a very bad headache. It would help if the windows were opened wide to air the appartment. Drive into the carpark is through a housing estate and carpark is situated right beside same estate!. Blood on front door of hotel when came home at night..still there the next morning. We were told there was a fight outside the hotel that night. Only one key for our apartment although there were two couples. Slow service in morning for breakfast. bed was bit unconfortable and would have been great if there was a tv in bedroom. Need a taxi to town Couldn't pay for apartment by sterling. not being able to use the cooker cause it kept on turning but everything else brilliant. Rathune was not said on the internet. Internet was not working. The door shut behind you. No instructions for washer/dryer. No WIFI...which was very annoying. We couldn't access the Internet in the hotel area either. This is false advertising by letsbookhotel.com. About 30 mins walk to Galway centre (or 10 mins drive and park) but we knew that!. Very basic place to stay. No tea, coffee, milk, soap etc. Very tiny bathrooms. No washing machine although advertised. No warmth about the place. Staff were indifferent, room a bit dingy and overall a bit unprofessional in its approach. Kitchen tidy buy dirty. Floors sticky. Very noisy and located amongst private houses. Other apartments occupied by noisy and disruptive people which meant we got no sleep on sat night. Had to leave. Day early and had no reduction on cost of first two nights. Terrible experience. Very basic accommodation - suitable only as cheap student accommodation. Bad smell in apartment. No toilet paper in toilet in one of the bathrooms One of the bedrooms smelt of urine. No fan or window in one of the bathrooms so no ventilation. No hangers in any of the wardrobes. Would definitely not recommend this accommodation.
