The location was excellent in the centre of everything we needed ie croke park, henry street etc. Its closeness to the city centre. Nice Central location. Friendly staff. cooked breakfast was terrible. Waltons Hotel no soap / facecloth/ shower gel/ shower had no thermostat nearly got scalded as to put shower on was difficult Door of room lock was very loose and someone tried to get in on friday night Television was a small portable. I had my grandson with me was generraly very disappointed. The girl at reception was excellent she moved us to the castle on sat night. Noise from street and noise in the Hotel. Broken lock on bathroom, poor decor i.e. missing tiles in bathroom, problems with toilet flush. We were told parking was available for 10 euro a day however when we arrived we were told that there was only street parking so i had to unload the car and 2 kids in the middle of a busy city street on a friday at 5pm peak traffic. that was very disappointing to us. The added risk of street parking the whole weekend wasn't nice either. the large gaps under bedroom doors meant I heard everything and everything going on in most rooms!. Decor could do with updating. Woken up at 5.30 by birds on roof obviously top floor not siutable for guests. Tiny room with only a small single bed is a rip off for €99.
