The receptionist Ian was particularly helpful and had good advice as to where to visit during our short trip. The breakfast was good too - nothing fancy but you could help yourself to whatever you wanted. Kitchen and lounge facilities looked good although didn't use them much. The location was ideal as not far from O'Connell Street and within walking distance of Temple Bar although quieter than being right in the centre. Shop nearby to get snacks and drinks. All round enjoyable experience . all reviews »
The staff were extremly helpful before we even got there giving amazing directions from airport on bus and then foot. The private room was big clean n had a nice modern design it it. They were able to store out bags before check in as we got to dubs very early . Would deffo go again if in dubs. Thanks x x.
Despite some negative aspects, this hostel is quite convenient for the low budget travellers. In return for a modest price, you can achieve a good sort of accomodation. The kitchen is nice, the rooms are ok, the location is perfect. Under these standards, the better is not possible.
position of hostel is very good, a few minutes walk to city centre. staff is really friendly, hostel is clean , it has its own kitchen - possible to use 7 am - 10 pm. we were fascinated with Dublin, Ireland and most of all - the friendliest people in the world ;).
We were surprised when we were given a big room with cooking facilities. It was fantastic. The tv room was comfortable, there was a large well equipped kitchen, a fooseball table, very friendly helpful staff. A free breakfast.
Ian was a very nice man that helped me very well. The room was very good
compared to the price. All was clean. I was in room c, which was very
quiet. That was perfect. Good matras, good shower.
very friendly staff; fully equipped kitchen; towels provided; excellent prices. Small, but offering everything you could need from budget accommodation - I really recommend this hostel!.
Central location, large sellection of Fast food outlets & Retauraunts nearby. Nice Tv Room, locker & towels supplier. Friendly welcoming Receptionist.
Bed iwas comfortable. Shower was hot and strong enough. Kitchen was well equiped for simple cooking and was the place where you can meet other travellers.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. It was relatively quiet during the night ensuring us a good night's sleep.
Value for money can't be beaten I would say! We had a double room and it was better than some of the hotels we stayed in - for much less money! :-).
Location near city center, friendly staff, comfortable rooms. A lot of information and free maps and discount cards on the reception.
Friendly staff, fairly close to the city centre, good-sized clean, modern room with comfortable bed, quiet surroundings.
we stayed in a private room with our own bathroom, couldnt fault the hostel,it was a 5 min walk from o connell street.
The staff was incredibly friendly and there was a leisure room available with books, games and a football table.
Friendly helpful stall, nice atmosphere, en-suite dorm, comfortable & very clean rooms, great tv room,.
The staff were very helpful, good location, very reasonable price, fellow guests were friendly.
Friendly staff, close to city center, great tv room. I was upgraded to a private room.
Wonderful staff, nice decoration, provision of breakfast, lots of brochures etc.
I love the mix of different nationalities, ages, races, gender and
networking.
The staff was very nice...the position was great, and the price
was good!!.
Really extraordinary value for money for a private double ensuite room.
Close to the centre. Nice staff. Comfortable living room.
Cheap friendly accessible straight forward.
nice area, and the reception is helpful.
Helpful staff.
The staff was really nice.
The room was clean.
The location was not as good as I thought but you can go easily to the center.
close to the city center and to the bus stop
good breakfast (even if not many things to choose)
friendly staff.
Nice fresh clean interior, Bed number on room key, so its not possible
to mix up beds in dorm.
The position of this hostel is really central. Breakfast is free.
Clean room and staff were OK. Pretty close to the city center.
Fine room for the price.
Friendly staff.
The staff is quite kind and very nice, they really have great
availability and give attention to guests.
nice living room and kitchen on the ground floor. rooms were just ok.
Not too far from city center
Easy to get to from airport.
Nothing.
Couldnt quite get wii fi in room due to were it was , was fine in the tv room. Breakfast was simple could have had little more selection but ace for the price.
Maybe the small window.
very little not to like at this price, just maybe a word of caution on the hygiene standards - it's an older house, so difficult to keep pristine under any circumstances, but might be an idea to equip each bathroom withe some cleaning products, so that guests can contribute to the cleaning task, if they need to?.
Milk for coffeee in "Staff Only" fridge.
Nothing.
The choice for breakfast was rather limited especially as regards cereals.
nothing.
The bed was not very comfortable. The room was not very well isolated (space between dor and floor).
Nothing, this is probably my favourite hostel in Dublin.
poor wi-fi.
Nothing, this is a great hostel.
I couldn't get in touch with intercontinental activities via the
media, meaning there was no sky box to access news and other
programmes locally.
Location is a bit dodgy but happily sacrificed for the quality of the hostel.
Wifi too weak to reach guestroom. Kitchen closed too early especially in summer time when the sun set late.
Broken shower. Poor general up keep. Although clean general maintenance was neglected. Ie broken shower, dirty blocked air vents. Very tired bedding and towels.
No car park, closest car park is about 15 min walk.
Did not that there was no Tele in the room. Also people were hanging up above. An could hear everything.
We stayed in a private room but got all the noise of the other rooms...VERY NOISY.
not very clean
small room.
Receptionist was vague, she didn't give me a towel, or a cash
receipt & nearly charged me for the free locker. No milk in kitchen
for coffee.
The room was not very clean - and never got cleaned throughout our stay, nor towels were changed. I understand this is just a hostel, however Dublin is a very cold and wet city in autumn, so if it rains for 3 days, the toilet is never cleaned (and you don't have the facilities to do it by yourself) and radiators are never turned off, your room is going to become as damp and freezing as a swamp - and in the end ours was. I wouldn't recommend this accommodation to anyone older than 24.
NO heating and the windows was very bad insulated.
Towels not so clean.
Poor breakfast.
Too many signs reminding you that you have do things on your own "Label your food", "Wash up after yourself"... Thought it was a bit aggressive.
The facilities of the hostel are really poor and the noise during the
night sometimes was really boring.
actually there is no breakfast. the offer you bread and marmelade.
Not always someone at the reception
Smell of cigarette.
