Ideally located for those travelling from Limerick or Galway.Veryprofessional and courteous staff. Within walking distance from the citycentre. Lovely lunch. Highly recommended. The staff were friendly, the public areas of the hotel have an old world charm that encourage relaxation and the room was comfortable: it all added to up a very pleasant break.The staff were very friendly polite and professional. It was very noisy,in the late eveing.Lots of people in smoking area at front,endless roaring and loud voices.Dislike listening to drunks.Would have liked some quiet time at night . unfortunately car park is small, not enough space to park on the weekends.TV did not work. We had to go on a "route march" to get to our room - using two lifts and walking down endless corridors to reach the "new part" of the hotel. The room was surposed to be superior, whilst clean it was very basic. front desk staff very nosey, will put me off stayin here again. Rather dour/dull (was a hospital for over 100years upto 1997). Hill walk in to town centre. Threadbare in places. Too expensive. Bedroom very depressing. very out of date hotel. Poor location. Food was below expectations - some sent back.

From Dublin/ Waterford/ Kilkenny
On entering Cork City, watch out for sign for The Moran Silver Spring's Hotel, on dual carriageway. Go onto flyover opposite the hotel and follow road for (North Ring/Limerick). Halfway up the hill at the 1st set of traffic lights turn left. After the Garda (Police) Station take the next left. Continue up this road for approximately one and a half miles to a junction St. Luke's, (Green Kiosk). Drive straight through this junction (St. Luke's Cross) onto Wellington Road. Take second right (watch for sign) and the Ambassador Hotel is on the right.

From Blarney/Limerick/Shannon Airport:
On entering Cork, you will see the sign for Dublin/North Ring Road - take this road. Drive along this main route for 2 miles approx. At Ballyvolane Dunnes Stores Shopping Centre turn right following city centre signs. At 2nd junction (St. Luke's Cross) turn right onto Wellington Road. Take second right (watch for sign) and the Ambassador Hotel is on the right.

From Killarney/Macroom:
Follow signs for city centre & Dublin until you go over St. Patrick's Bridge (main bridge out of Cork). Follow road onto MacCurtain St. (one way system). At Traffic lights at the end of MacCurtain St. take a left turn, up Summers Hill. Take a left again at the junction, St. Luke's Cross (green kiosk) onto Wellington Road. Take second right (watch for sign) and the Ambassador Hotel is on the right.

From Cork Airport/West Cork/Kinsale:
