When we arrived the superior room we booked was not availeble. With no prolems we got an upgrade to the deluxe room were we stayed for 12 days. Everybody is friendly in a true way. We were welcom. The pool is great because you can swim a longway. Everywhere it was very clean! The hotel garden is beautiful. There is a choice for everybody. The classic rooms are traditonal, peaceful at the garden. The other rooms are modern and at the pool. Breakfast was also for everybody, nasi, eggs, toast ect.
all reviews » Loved this place! It was our first time in Bali and this place was an excellent choice. The staff were friendly and always helpful. The pool is great though the bar was rarely open. The food was good, but not much choice for breakfast. The tour operator was useful in guiding us through the many tour/diving/snorkeling options that they had. The prices are higher than other vendors around Legian but the service was good. They are quite flexible in terms of payment accepting both rupiah and dolla. Staffs are friendly and accommodating...they offers welcome drinks and facilitates the service from airport to the hotel... The rooms were clean with Neatly tucked beds.. A safe is available for your important things.The surroundings are clean and green. The pool was lovely most especially the pool bar. The gula-gula restaurant was great too, offering a sumptuous breakfast everyday. The hotel is just a 10 minutes walk away to legian beach. And accessible to stores and motor rides. They have a r. Very friendly staff in the reception and in the organization of a daily tour in Bali with a private driver and for the the pick-up to the airport (despite much more expensive than a normal taxi). The room was huge and very comfortable. It open directly on the pool, small but nice. The hotel is located in the center of Legian, very close to the beach and to many restaurants, bars and shops. To go to Seminyak, where there is the best nightlife, you need a taxi or a scooter. Booked a Deluxe! Rooms are huge & super clean for 3 persons. Staff was nice, the area is mostly shops, bars & spa. Breakfast was fine. Relaxing place to stay! Walking 5 mins to beach via Ramada Hotel. There are two exits for the hotel, one for lobby, one at the restaurant. 25mins walk to Kuta via streets and 20mins walk to Kuta Beach via the beach which is more safer :). We were greeted with smiles and staff were always helpful. Position is great, close to beach, entertainment and shopping. It is comfortable and clean and quiet. Value for money. Breakfast is good. We left to stay elsewhere for a week and returned to hotel next night for a few more days and we were upgraded. The staff were amazing here.. Very friendly and willing to do anything to make your stay pleasurable. The room was cleaned every day and was extremely comfortable. Being a lone traveller, I felt really safe here. The buffet breakfast each morning was exceptional also. I loved the free wifi in the room too!. The staff were so friendly from maitenance staff, cleaners rigyht through to restaurant and bar staff. Breakfast was especially nice seeing Scooby's friendly smile every day. Love Him. I will most definately be back, not expensive clean and a wonderful experience all round. We have always stayed in Legian but were ready for a hotel change. The Baleka was cheaper than our old hotel but ten times as nice! That Baleka is still small, and staff are friendly. New rooms are cleaner, and better appointed. This was my 3rd-stay ( 2000, 2007 & 2013 ). The location of the hotel was ideal, and nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff, they were all very friendly and made us feel at home. The 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for our family. The rooms were very nicely appointed and the bathrooms were also very nice. Room was clean and tidy,staff at restuarant for breakfast were friendly and happy plus a nice breakfast to start the day. I like the location,have friendly staff clean good pool small enough that staff remember your name.Shall go back again. I liked the open space within the closed house like strutures to give a sense of privacy n comfort full of luxury. A great room and a good location and the boomerang bar out the front not part of the hotel was superb. only positive memories of that hotel! everything was perfect : breakfast, location, value of money!. The position of the airco is above the door so the cool air can not be felt in the room. We suggest to replace it closer to the bed and seats so you will benefit from the cool air. The bed edges at the classic room. My fiancée got herself bruised hitting the edges accidentally. The breakfast could be improved in variety and quality. In the first night there was a lot of noise from people having fun in the pool. Legian and all the east part of Bali is very crowded by traffic. So one have to consider to spend lot of time in a continuous traffic jam if taking a car or taxi. Taxi drivers, bikes for rent & spa staffs waiting outside the restaurant. My door was faulty & they didnt fix it but it was fine. There are 2 exits, walk to the beach via RAMADA HOTEL, do not use the small dark alley as it is quite unsafe especially for girls & it is quite a walking distance. There isn't anything we didn't like. Minor details but there were a lot of "party" people staying here who were noisy all day and night which was slightly annoying but not the hotels fault. Also, there are not enough pool chairs around the pool!. n/a. The pool could use an update. Would only ask for San Miguel Light in the pool bar!. The thought was nice, but being located directly by the pool was noisey and broke the relaxing peace when the kids arrived. However the pool hours were respected. Although the rooms are better, I really preferred the older style buildings, the new 3-storey building looks too much like a hospital. I think the Baleka has lost some of its charm. The pool was very cold as it lost the sun very early in the day!. the only thing I found to complain was trying to get the shower water right.One second cold then boiling next and I mean boiling. Bad air conditioning in the room I stayed. We had some problems getting the hot water in the shower working. There was a shortage of pool towels. Superior room we were in originally, air con didn't work and looked old and tired. The horrible smell eminating from the bathroom may have been a consequence of the building work going on. The reception area was a bit dark and could do with a good renovation,inviting. A few more chairs in the room.Thanks. when we re-booked for extra nights a few times the prices would change a little. (however still reasonable). Nothing. restarurant and its furniture needs an update. Pool water to cold,shower over bath to short therefore a lot of water on bathroom floor being slippery. breakfast was a bit bland compared to some other local places. The pool is a bit small, just a few sunbeds. the spa. We stayed in a family suite above the Gula Gula restaurant and it was way too noisy for us - only couple hours of sleep each night. Everything was good,....BUT Consider indian menu for b'fast too please. The cleanliness could be better. We also had the problem with the bathtub but they have solved it. Noisy air con. Bathroom was smelly and more like a disabled toilet. we had an apartment with a kitchenette, but the kitchenette only had 3 knives forks and spoons. No other cooking utensils! We would have been better off booking 2 rooms. all fine. Cleaners did not refill shampoo/soap which was bad. Don't order Margarita. The room was not as described - It had no seating/dining area. Several areas showing signs of age - The door scraped along the floor, the cupboard door infront of the minibar was hanging off etc.
