All walls are decorated with works by Icelandic artists from Iceland’s largest private art collection. Our new restaurant is called Holt Restaurant. Amazed to have easy on-street parking right in front of the hotel each night. Enjoyed the art! Impressed by the signs up one day that the street lights would be off and an upper floor room available for potential viewing of the Northern Lights. Unfortunately, cloud cover did not cooperate. all reviews » I've been once before and choosing a Hotel for my wife's 60th birthday remembered Hotel Holt for its atmosphere, its wonderful collection of paintings and its excellent food. Of course it is also within walking distance of everywhere you want to go. The hotel fully lived up to my recollections and went down very well with my artistic wife. Wonderful staff, thanks to Siggi and Sigrun they really made me feel welcome. They made great restaurant suggestions and assisted with tour recommendations, great staff great hotel. Perfect position in pretty residential street but short walk to town centre and harbour. Interesting decor, spacious room, charming helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were somewhat spartan by American standards but were very clean and quiet. Nothing. wished we'd had a bathtub. the restaurant was very expensive. too noisy especially rooms situated at front of hotel. lots of traffic all night for a small road. rowdy revellers every night 2,3,4 am in morning outside hotel. bit noisy as above kitchen area.
