all reviews » one of the words I would add is ritualistic. the area of oia is in general, but caldera villas allow visitors to feel that connection with nature, history, and raw simple goodness through its dialogues with the cliffs and human settlement. The decor, strategies in design, the food, the hospitality and flexibility of the staff etc. guarantee a wholesome stay. The staff were very friendly and were the same for the 3 days we stayed at the location. The continental breakfast was much more than the usual breads/fruits/drinks. The view was breathtaking and staying in a "cave house" was a first. The power went out on the entire island for 24 hours, but the staff rose to the occasion. Great view, excellent place, a lot of steps for exercises :) Very attentive and friendly staff, always ready to help you with any information or provide you with a cup of coffee and tasty desert throughout the day. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again one day!. The view is breathtaking! Waking up every morning to that is priceless!! The rooms are Santorini fashioned and very comfortable! Another great thing is the location: just a few steps away from Oìa's main square. Simply perfect!. Beautiful view of Santorini and the ocean. There was a fantastic little area for us to sit with lounge chairs and enjoy the view. You can walk to everything. The design is very Greek and makes you feel at home. Nothing. - The only thing you guys need to be aware of its the steps and the stairs, cause its have a lot of stairs to climb for you to reach the villas. - Just remember to bring a comfortable shoes for ladies and do not wear any high heels shoes. - Remember to remind them your check out so that someone will carry your luggage to the bus stop. - The villas toilet that I stayed a bit of smelly. way-finding here was difficult, but also a great experience asking around, having an excuse to explore all the steps on the hills. Oh yes, the wi-fi was not consistent in room 105. the only place that was consistent was right against the bathroom wall. The mattress in the master cave room was terrible, very flat and you could feel the springs. The kitchenette could have been more complete so that food could be reheated etc. Sooooo many stairs. We stayed in one of the honeymoon suites and the balcony is small and has connection with other rooms. Small pool. Kitchen was a bit under equipped, but adequate. Breakfast is poor. The lack of room service, bar at the pool and a restaurant. With a restaurant/bar you would not need to leave the hotel and enjoy more of the swimming pool. The tv channels are non existent... Only one international channel - bbc news. Checking in is a bit complicated and took too long in waiting around. Also we booked a room with a view of the caldera and felt somewhat ripped off as it was a slat in the door about 20cm wide. Staff at least were sympathetic about it. We had to let water run a long time before it was warm. Our friends in another room did not have this problem. Big differences between the rooms, in ours we had to climb down a ladder to go from our bed to the bathroom. I would prefer more private balconies. WIFI is too slow and does not reach all the room. It is a hike up and down but not terrible. I somehow missed the registration at the check-in office at the bus station and walked to villa directly. Not too much hassle to walk back to complete walk in processes but it could have been explained better in the booking confirmation to avoid such inconveniences for traveler like me. Wi-fi. Breakfast area to near the pool,tiling in the shower area needs attention. Too many steps, but that's the case with most Santorini hotels. the people working at the office when I did the check-in on the 6th around 2pm (one girl and I boy) not very helpful, poor customer service, I found them very rude. Internet signal available outdoors only and very,very fair. The room was clean but the bed is a little bit old . The stairs are the main problem of course but we are in Oia and it is normal.People with health concerns must avoid this hotel. Cold, monotonous breakfast(((. I´m tall and the room was with a low ceiling and doors. Awful beds- springs that stick into you. No sign and no reception when we finally find the hotel. They don't accept Mastro Card and couldn't switch payment options. Common areas in the hotel are good but the room was awful. Unfortunately our room was beside the reception and breakfast area, also in front of the swimming pool. Because of it we don’t have any privacy, it was very noise at the morning and the room smells humidity. The problem is that I booked for a better room and they gave us this one for the same price that was not cheap! I was really disappointed!. poky, dinghy rooms not at all as advertised. I thought I was getting a room with a terrace. First room had no facility to hang clothes could hear every word in the next room and unidentified machinery noise so loss of sleep & could not relax. pool pocket size, looked much larger in photo. very boring breakfast with no variation. told sunbeds availalble to all then told to move!. Gave me the wrong room, traed to tell me that it was the right one until I probé them wrong. It was an awful experience . I booked a bedroom which didn't exist . There was a hole in the bathroom , beds where totally uncomfortable, breakfast terrible , no air conditioning no service . Do not book this hotel.
