  150% friendly staff, nice large room, superb breakfast with breathtaking views, convinient parking. We all slept like babies for 12 hours in absolutely quiet room:-) Ellenz is tiny town, just a short ferry ride across the river - nice little Beilshtein with its streets and castle where we enjoyed views and a tasty meal.

  The gasthof is great and the owner is very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are great (real German) and even for a single biker this place is excellent. The beds are very good and the rooms are very nice without television as you don't need there. The place is just behind the main road what is really great for the rust as there is nothing... what people say » to hear during the night. This place is a really top to explore the Mosel area in common. - The owner was exceptionally nice. It felt like we were spending the night with our Aunt. The facilities are quaint but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. It was a high point in our trip. The town is quiet and beautiful with the river running through it. A great stay.

  The hotel was really nice and the staff friendly. And on Easter morning they had a small Easter surprise for every quest. It made the stay more personal. - The staff was so friendly and personable. The hotel was well kept, and obviously cared for.

  The hotel was completely updated two years ago by the husband and wife owners who reside in the hotel. The hotel has old world charm on the outside and is beautiful and spotless on the inside. You can off load luggage on the street in front of the hotel. Then the staff directs you to free parking a short distance from the hotel. Severa - We told the owner Sabine we will come back one day and yes, we will! The region is an absolute delight. The hotel is top notch. Comfort, cleanliness, convenience and hearty breakfast with homemade jam and fruit medley made an wonderful stay. The family owned Zehnthauskeller took wine tasting to another level. Sitting in the 400 year old wine cellar sipping local wine was the best way to wrap up a day of sightseeing.

  Our apartment was spacious and located in a wonderful old building and was very quiet. Despite real winter weather the rooms were easy to heat. - Nice people! Nice Mosel!

  This place, and the people running it, are excellent. It is a very short drive from Cochem, right on the river, we had a lovely, large room overlooking the river. They gave us a free glass of wine or beer, along with a fresh baked muffin, at check in. There was a great restaurant about a 4 minute walk away.   We spent the weekend in Frankfurt and needed a place to stay for just one night as we extended our trip and also wanted to visit Cochem and Burg Eltz. A few people were recommending this cute little place on the internet and as the location was perfect and the price even better (50 Euros/night) we decided we'd go for it. Upon our arrival (Sunday e... what people say » vening 7pm) Julia, the daughter of the owners rushed to greet us. She even asked twice if she could help carry our bags :) She was extremely welcoming - Friendly welcome by Barbara, very clean and comfortable accommodation. Situated close to many local attractions along the river mosel; including excellent cycling tracks and a lovely outdoor swimming pool (5 minutes walk). Although we did hire a car for the week we took advantage of a free local bus pass.
