This hotel is a real gem! Excellent location for wandering the streets of the old town and visiting the castle.It is beautifully decorated and furnished - a real oasis of tranquility after a day's sight-seeing. Lovely room and huge bathroom, all very well equipped. Breakfast buffet was fantastic! They don't do other meals but staff gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants to visit. all reviews »
Owner of hotel was very friendly and went out of her way to make sure you were having a nice stay. Great breakfast buffet and room was nicely appointed. The hotel was located within the city walls and within easy walking distance of all of the major points of interest.The whole hotel is immaculately presented. Stylish design and high quality realisation. Location is ideal for a visit and using the on site parking made the experience very pleasant. The staff spoke excellent English. They were also very helpful with accomodations at the hotel as well as suggestions about what to do while in Heidelberg.The hotel was extremely relaxing, the staff very-very kind, the breakfast wonderful and the location just right. They are very helpful in carrying luggage upstairs whenever needed.Would have liked in-room internet access. No elevator which makes it difficult for someone with large bags but the hotel staff were very helpful. They carried my bag. Wireless network was not working during my stay although they had a shared PC in the lobby with Internet access.No air conditioning. no lift, which was not a problem on this occassion as I had very little lugage.No proper curtain, the shower leaked. Needs a mini fridge in room.Musty smell in the corridor outside the room. VERYnoisy at night - had to shut all blinds and windows in very hotweather to sleep. Wireless Internet was broken and it was veryinconvenient to use the hard-wired system in the lounge. Lots ofremodeling debris. Hard to find breakfast room.Room and bathromm were very small, much smaller than suggested when booking. Hard to find, no lift to our room,. the exiguity of the room. I only stayed for one night instead of 3 because the room was so dirty ,with full of insects, so small, no air condition and the window youcannot open because of the insects so no breathing , no elevator for thesmoking rooms so we had to carry our lagauge for 4 floors.
