Pfefferbett is a really cool hostel that's been recently renovated. It's modern and clean and has a range of excellent facilities. Luggage storage is handy and the buffet breakfast for €6.50 is great value and has good variety. Room with private bathroom was really nice and very clean. The neighbourhood is really nice, with many authentic German restaurants and the hostel's location is excellent as it's right across the road from one of the metro stations, so you can easily get to and from the .
all reviews » Conveniently located at 2 mins walk from the tube station, and 40 mins overall from Schönefeld airport. 24h reception with really helpful staff. Fairly big secure locker included in the price, each bed has a light and electricity socket, my room had a private bathroom too even if not specified in the booking, not sure if all rooms have it. I asked for an early checkin and they let me in from 10 AM (without extra charge), choose one of the free beds in a 6 bed female dorm. The cleaning woman came inside while I was sleeping (she was not expecting) and she tried to be silent. It feels cool to see such a caring behavior :) I would go to this hostel again. Staff were very friendly. The Hostel was very clean. Rooms were large, with comfy beds. The place is stylish. We could only enter the room at 15:00 but they have a safe and efficient method for storing the luggage. Very lively place with a good atmosphere. Staff was friendly, design of the hostel was nice with cool music and free wi-fi in de foyer, rooms were tidy, breakfast was cheap and cheerful, possibility to have it outside in a nice garden. The rooms were very big, bright and cleaned and we were pleasently suprised. The hotel was in a very cosy area of Berlin and perfect for a budget city trip. Staff was very friendly, there is a beautiful terrace with live music, a great place to hang out in the evening and meet new people. Very clean. Everything. Extremely clean. The room was really small, but fairly acceptable for that price in the center. Such rooms are alright for someone who would like to have a nice temperature bed to sleep only ;). The shower was fixed in the wall. You had to press a button all the time in the wall, in order for the water to come. I came with my girlfriend and although the bed was for two persons, they gave us two individual blankets to share. Shower. Rooms could use better ventilation. Too perfect, having things be slightly messy would make it feel more like hostel. This place was so good it felt like a 5 star hotel. Wifi not very stable... can get disconnected for long whiles and also no wifi on the rooms. The Internet didn't work in the rooms. - wi-fi only in bar - really small rooms for 6 persons - problems with shower. Restroom bin has weird smell, and the floor full of dust. Wireless is sometime not working even in hall. No kitchen for guests as a hostel No friendly staff No WIFI in rooms.
